  1. Works fine with Win7 x86 & x64.
  2. Removed 6 knackered Bosch "Super" 4 plugs and replaced with 6 shiny NGK's. Never felt so much difference in an engine from fitting a set of plugs, (and i've worked on Fords).
  3. Looks like a nice Mk2 big bumper shell on top of it. I'll take both please!
  4. Camber and tracking on the front will be absoultely fine. It would be interesting to see the measurements from 4 wheels as the rear beams of these (MK2's & 3 Golfs too) are made out of yoghurt pot. It takes suprisingly little to bend one and would give you piece of mind everything is nice and square. *EDIT NOTE* Don't forget if you raise/lower your car the geometry will change and you will need to camber/track it again. It's worth fiding a suitble ride height you can live with daily before parting with any hard cash for someone to reset it again.
  5. The top mounts will bed in, the suspension strut/spring units should remain unchanged unless the spring platform has been rotated.
  6. You can do the sums and set them off the car, but on the vehicle on the ground is the most accurate way. Grab yourself a trolley jack, find the flattest bit of tarmac you can, dust of your trusty tape measure and set-aside a good couple of hours to do the job right.
  7. Hi Jon, Thanks very much, just what I was looking for. I call the section where the wishbones etc bolt up the sub-frame too. Thanks very much.
  8. Sorry my wording is a little poor here, I was referring to the front cross member/front engine mount where you referring to this one too or the rear g/box mount/subframe where the wishbones mount?
  9. Morning All, Does anyone know if a MK2 Golf front cross member and a VR6 Rado member are interchangeable? If they are close but not the same could a MK2 one be "modified" to fit? Thanks Luke
  10. I run Corrado VR6 top mounts on the Golf. I've tried the Febi ones and the genuine ones, their life span is about the same (3 meetings!) so tend to use Febi now as they are less expensive.
  11. Good Morning All, Another typical novice VR owner question here: Can the Cam's be removed without removing the G/box? In other words is it possible to access the double chain tensioner for removal? Thanks Luke
  12. Care to name and shame so no-one else ends up in the same/more dangerous situation?
  13. I'm over in Hull next Thurs so will aim to pick up then if it's ok. If there aren't any takers for your remaining wheel I might as well take it off your hands.
  14. I'd be looking for 2 so one to go!
  15. It's more accurate to measure from 2 points on the front subframe and the two rear beam mounting points.
  16. Would you consider splitting the set?
  17. Don't shoot me down here folks but I'm sure I have heard that Quantum Silver is made by Castrol and it's properties differ very little from Magnatec. Perhaps someone can add gravitas/dismiss my comment?
  18. According to the DVLA yes, however when questioning my current insurer no. Was hoping for some clarification. Yes was intending to SORN again the car when it's tucked up in the workshop.
  19. I have just purchased a Corrado that I will be collecting on Tuesday. The vehicle I have been collecting has been SORN for the past couple of months so I will need to tax it. Once at home I intend to garage for a couple of months while I bring the mechanicals back up to scratch. Would you be able to help me with a short term eg 1-2 day policy and do you know if I would be able to tax the vehicle on such a policy? Thanks in anticipation Luke.
