  1. Both wheels look nice but the azevs have provenance ;) Love the colour, how much was the paint job considering it looks like an engine out job?
  2. Interesting topic this. I can see both sides but as mentioned I think it depends on what you want to use the car for etc. I use my car every day so I need something that's a bit more modern, usable and I don't want to have to treat it with kid gloves, which is why I've never had an Integrale! The golf mk1 and some mk2 like the rallye have a wider appeal and are probably destined for longer term greatness, the fit is iconic like the E type or series 1 Elise. The corrado is a better car in my view, but suffers from a lack of visibility, like a BMW 3.0 Csl or vx220 or something and that suits me fine. Horses for courses but personally I'm glad I have the corrado. It didn't cost me an inflated "classic" price, it's not very expensive to run, it can do motorway or town journeys with ease and it feels both retro and modern. Plus the vr makes the best noise you can buy for the money :)
  3. Good effort. Must tricky knowing which is which and what keys are for which car lol.
  4. Assume you got it then as it's sold. Pics!!!
  5. Fixed my spoiler motor, well yesterday but who's counting... Fingers crossed no blown fuses as of yet!
  6. I have a small area of this, how do you sort it???
  7. That the Midlothian car on pistonheads? I actually mulled the idea of buying it and selling mine for a few seconds - it looks sooperb!
  8. Sony Cdx-f5550 cd and mp3 player. Working perfectly but condition is ok not mint. No manual but can be downloaded easily. Comes with cage and ISO loom, no codes needed. Would like 20 delivered or 15 collected Sony speakers from my old vw. Again they work fine and are in excellent condition. No grills as we're fitted in factory places. Would like 20 collected only because of weight and pretty much sod all value. Will split 10 each. I'll be at the Llandow track day aug 25th and volksfest in Carmarthen in early august if it helps. Cheers all. Pete.
  9. Hi will, volksfest is in Carmarthen this year. I'll be there on the Sunday as I'm in Cardiff on the sat watching the Olympic football.
  10. Not me, I think my only show this year with the vw will be volksfest, though I'm doing a few in my vx220.
  11. Agree with EJ, I would swap for smaller and fit a small sub with the money left over to fill it out a bit. I use Alpine G series components and they have been fantastic for the money. Check my build thread for pics.
  12. If your happy to have them sticking out with aftermarket grills I would think it would be easy just use self tapping screws and some dynamat or similar. Fitting inside the pockets would be an in depth job...
  13. Do you have a full set left? My engine judder is doing my nut in!
  14. Some nobhead is falling at 126mph. Because a student is recommending a phone that's supposed to make me buy it!?!? Cheese on toast b0110cks. Fave is the Doritos band advert at the moment.
  15. I the same I hardly ever see another C in Swansea!
  16. Anyone going to volksfest Wales in a few weeks?
  17. How wil they compare to both oem and the vibra's? I want new as I'm getting too much movement and judder in the transmission.
  18. Looks good, I recently got a new alpine from halfords. Got to say some of the deals they do make them one of the cheapest places around for car audio lately!
  19. Thanks for the tipoff. Not seen the arz ones...
  20. Hi looking for a s/s exhaust car back. Must have no rot or damage etc and no max power tail pipes :) Also inpro rears, looking for red/clear units rather than Lexus or smoked styles. Pm me. Thanks, Pete.
  21. Looking for a full set, anyone know where is best to get them in terms of price?
  22. Bit oh update housekeeping to do. Clear side repeaters are now on, along with heater illumination which actually works!!! Replaced the bulb with led strips and a resistor for the brightness. You can see the right hand side despite the pic.
  23. When I bought my pro new I was looking at it vs a Submariner green 50th edition. Rolex was more money but I didn't mind and went on merit. Even the girl in the jewellers said she preferred the omega. What I like about Guthrie it's timeless and not a fashion piece, plus it has a story to tell. Apart from the El primero or a 72 universal space compax it's my favorite watch.
