I did look at the bling tank straps [emoji6] as I thought it was my only option but after I took my ones off and knocked all the surface rust off, they weren't actually too bad. I think the curvature in the middle is the cause of all the corrosion issues as water, mud and general crap can sit there. My ones are certainly more corroded on the inside of the strap. I will post some picture when I pick them up later today.

Finally managed to get everything stripped down. Decided on getting everything shot blasted and then powder coated as ecoating is just a transportation primer. Items have turned out really well considering the state they were in before. Forgot the bloody fuel tank straps and a few other little bits though so they have now been sent off. Would anyone be interested in 70litre fuel tank straps if I went and spoke to a company to make a batch?

Cheers Chris. I have thought about E coating but thought it was crazy money. Do you know the name of the company in Wales?

Thanks for the support everyone. Keeps me going when I've got so much else on and have no time to get on the Corrado. Got my S8 back from Audi after being away for another 2 months. Paint is still shockingly bad, more trims damaged, more overspray and more things not working. Also being lied to by both the body shop and Audi now. So ****ed off with the whole situation so I thought I would build my gearbox to cheer me up. Sat looking at the gearbox casings and gears and just thought about smashing them around the head of the twats at Audi and the body shop. Decided to put a Wavetrac diff in along with the 3.6 final drive. Just chucked gearbox together so I can transport it back to work and start replacing bearing, syncros and seals.

Not much gone in with Corrado as I have waiting for some parts and some free time. Managed to get door on and some of the interior in. Now decided to do underside aswell instead of doing it after summer. I just couldn't bring myself to build it up knowing some of it was ****. Front subframe, arms and rear beam being stripped and then powder coated. All new bushes, bearings, joints and boots. Milltek exhaust is ordered so just need to decide on KW or Bilstein suspension.

Just a wheel bearing... Only joking. Full restoration. Exhaust and suspension is going in the bin along with tyres. Full strip down, powder coated, new bushes, bearings, joints etc etc, Milltek exhaust and either KW or Bilstein suspension. -

Wow, that looks amazing. Can't wait to see and hear this. Going to be epic!! -
Clutch master was cheap from memory and it's a genuine VW item. I don't want to take any of this apart again so I would rather spend the money now when it's easy to fit.
-
I forgot to mention that the master cylinder I purchased was for non ABS C but I was sold it as a ABS version so it's being returned. Can't seem to get hold of a ABS master cylinder so I cleaned and painted the old one. Looks just as good.

Hi Paul, I'm going for the high flow cat with non res polished tip cat back system.
-
Which S4? B6 4.2 auto? I have had many custom exhausts fitted and you simply don't get the development invested for the correct noise, fitment, alignment and power and I'm talking about one of the most respected custom exhaust fabricators in the uk. Development takes up huge amounts of time and that is reflected in the price.

As per my message, these are RRP prices! Not the price a Corrado Forum member will get it for. The more people who want one, the cheaper they are.

Anyone interested in a Milltek Cat back exhaust system for their VR6 Corrado? I am just about to order one for my car and wondered if anyone was interested. The more orders I get, the more discount available. If you have any other car and would like a price, let me know and I will see what I can do. Again the more people who come forward, the more discount I can give. Here are some prices and pics of the Corrado VR6 high flow cat and cat back systems. Milltek hi-flow sports cat (approx 5 week wait) £362.33 inc VAT. Milltek non resonated (louder) cat back system with Cerakote oval tip £528.65 inc VAT. Milltek non resonated (louder) cat back system with polished oval tip £490.93 inc VAT. Milltek resonated cat back system with Cerakote oval tip £627.60 inc VAT. Milltek resonated cat back system with polished oval tip £589.88 inc VAT. The above prices inc VAT and are the RRP. This price does not include fitting. There will also be a £25.00 delivery charge on top of any system and £15.00 on the hi-flow cat.
