  1. Awesome. They can use mine if they want but have to wait until March ish time.
  2. Taped up crappy VR6 wiring looms Now they are fit for the car.
  3. Hello Jim. To be honest I haven't even thought about the underside yet. I'm still debating on just shocks and springs, coil overs or even air ride. Shocks and springs is more than likely but that's as far as I have got. I will need to speak to them about zinc coating calipers as they would need to be fully stripped down as dipped in loads of solutions inc pickling acid which would mean new seals etc. 99% sure I will get them zinc treated. Might actually sent them off in the next batch. I will keep you posted.
  4. All protection is applied during soda blasting process
  5. All nuts, bolts, brackets etc have been zinc treated with yellow passivater. Block has been painted gloss black and all other parts have been soda blasted. Gearbox is also getting same treated. Does get a bit annoying if you forget one part that needs to be zinc treated and have to send stuff off again and again. Gearbox takes ages as need to strip, clean, soda blast, rebuild and then give to gearbox company so they can strip and rebuild with new gears, syncros, bearings etc. Then take off parts that need to be zinc treated, send them off and then refit. Should be ready in a few weeks.
  6. I know. It's not going to be used as a daily or as a weekend car, just a show car or any Corrado meet.
  7. A few more little bits done today. Couldn't resist fitting inlet just to see what it looks like. And this is the Idiot who painted my car. Adrian. Adrian decided to finger and lick my throttle body. Adrian also decided to hump my throttle body. Adrian also owns a Ford. Don't be like Adrian. Don't be a twat.
  8. Cheers dude. I put it on both ways and none look 100% correct for alignment. I will wait until the head and tensioner are on and then double check alignment with belt. Thanks for the heads up. [emoji106]
  9. Finally managed to get some spare time and build some of the engine up. Getting really excited now!!
  10. Got all nuts, bolts, catches etc zinc plated!! Can't believe how well it's come out.

  12. Me, me, me.... Please as #10
  13. £1550.00 is a damn good price. Is this from a VW specialist? VAT included? Using genuine parts?
  14. Drivers door has had first polish. Going to fit everything to the car and then give it the final polish. Loving the classic green colour, never been a fan of green car but this colour does like stunning. While the doors and rear bumper are being polished, I'm building up my head.
  15. Welcome to the forum. Looks very tidy mate. [emoji108][emoji108]
  16. Cheers Chris. I had a superspint on my G60 Corrado, didn't fit well and quality was crap. I know they have changed a lot in the last few years and I had one of the reps come to me a few months back ref selling the exhausts for them. Supersprint is £2.5k, all parts are stainless steel except centre box which is just steel! Still looks very cheap aswell.
  17. I have but there is no development involved with them and you end up with droning. What Milltek do is they trial many silencer type and sizes and also pipe diameter in order to produce a exhaust which gives optimum power and or torque without droning. With a custom exhaust you simply wouldn't get this. I know I may have to go down the custom route with the manifold but past experiences of custom exhausts are not great.
  18. Thanks dude. Yeah I purchased new genuine windows trims from VW when I purchased the front doors. Roof trims I got from bloke who had made them in this site. At the moment it's just the exhaust which is bugging me. The one that's on the car is from new and it's about to break into 2000 pieces, I can't get a genuine system or a decent OEM system from searching the internet so going to get the Milltek high flow cat and cat back system but they don't offer a manifold. Anyone have a recommendations?
  19. Cheers mate. I don't want to find you rubbing yourself up against it at a show though. [emoji23] I've learnt a lot as well from my mate who has painted it for me and it's all about prep which means huge amounts of time. Not taking anything away from him, a professional painter with the correct equipment could do a stunning job but it's time and if that painter isn't a friend, it's huge money plus stripping the car down to a bare shell.
  20. Yes. I think I mentioned what grades we used on the bare shell and the ones I mentioned a few posts ago was on the primer. I will find out what was used to flatten down the paint, I think it was 800, 1200, 1500 and then 3000.
  21. Thanks, yeah I'm well chuffed. My mate painted it in return for building his MK1 Focus RS. He doesn't paint for a living any more as he is very anal and only likes doing things perfectly which costs 3 x more than what most people would charge for a full respray.
