The Storm is ready for paint after some very long hard hours of prep which included dust coat, 600 dry, dust coat, 800 dry, dust coat, 1000 wet and dry, dust coat and the 1200 wet and dry.   5. I run MDM Technik so it changes every day but my own projects are the Corrado storm, Seat Ibiza Time attack car, another Corrado and a MK1 Focus RS (not mine). Since everything has taken longer than I thought, I don't know when the Corrado will get built back up as the Ibiza needs to be finished by March so I can go and do some testing before the Time Attack season starts. Its a huge build aswell, were talking wide arched, even more weight saving, big power and running stand alone management. Not going to be a daily at all. Will only really be taken to shows. My daily at the moment is a Touran TDI, basically its a loan car from a bodyshop as my daily went back to Audi for a full paint job due to corossion on the aluminium. They done such an **** job that I sent it back and they are doing it all again. They had it for 2 months for the original visit, I had it back for 2 weeks and its now back with them. May not be back before Christmas. This is how I sent it back to them.   6. Progress is being made but it doesnt look like it when I take photos so ive held off for a while from posting. Basically its taken twice as long to get the bodywork 100%. It will be worth it though. The new genuine door where pretty rubbish (press marks around handle etc). Literally spent approx 10 hours prepping each door. Everything is in primer now, well except tailgate as i have a better one which I need to strip down.   7. Yeah he didnt own it long and he waited 8 years before buying one....lol. I would of been annoyed if I paid good money for this car, every panel has huge amounts of filler. I think the N/S/R 1/4 had 14 layers of paint!! It looked ok, but on close inspection it was a ****ter. Structurally sound with no rust but poor workmanship at bodyshops made it a mess.

New doors are gapped, front wings have had the small dents removed by a panel beater, Block has been bored out and its now masked up ready for paint along with shot blasted front cross member and some engine brackets.   11. Does anyone have or know of someone who has a upper elbow for a Schrick VR6 OBD1 inlet manifold. I have just purchased the whole inlet and the upper elbow is polished. I don't really want the whole inlet polished but I think it may be my only option.

  15. Wondering of anyone can help?? I sold my black G60 about 10 years ago to a women who lived in Newquay and have regretted selling it ever since. It was black, had grey cloth interior, polished D90s and running 230BHP. She came to the Audi Garage in Basingstoke I worked at to buy it. I don't remember the reg but I think it was on a J plate but could be wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

  17. Only way is smaller pulley and chip. Could go and spend £2K on full exhaust and head work and end up with 10BHP. This is what I had done to my G60 Stage 4 supercharger 68mm pulley Chip Red top injectors K&N intake Ported and polished head RSR outlet Schrick cam Vernier pulley G40 plugs Supersprint exhaust manifold, decat and supersprint system Recirc system deleted Bored out to 1.9, lightened and balanced bottom end and flywheel Best time to mod the charger is when its new!!!

  21. Time has come to start thinking of which suspension to get on my storm while its back to bare metal - see storm restoration under exterior. Has anyone got KW V3's on their C? Whats the ride like? My mate on his VR6 has gone from Weitech to H&R but now the ride is far too bouncy. The weitech was only slightly better. Its like there is too much rebound and little damping. On my old G60 I ran a set of Koni adjustable dampers, cant remember which springs (nearly 10 years ago) and it felt good but I was young and didn't care much for comfort. I have fitted loads on KW V3's to new cars and the ride is firm yet comfortable. I run a set of KW 2 way competition suspension on my Ibiza race car and its the dogs bollocks, never had an issue with it and adjustment is easy. Cant really comment on ride as the car has never been driven on the road and most circuits are smooth. Only looking to lower the C about 30mm but I want it to ride well. I want to enjoy driving it as I know if the rides crap I will hate using it. I am not fitting any polybushes or roll bars and the wheels are staying stock so this will help hugely. So, what are peoples thoughts on the Bilstein B6 dampers? Eibach springs?
