When it breaks the door doesn't open from the outside. Would you rather change it when you have time or be stuck when it breaks and you have no time to fix it?

As dragon has said, check before pulling it all apart. Ideally you should take the door card off as the whole handle needs to come out, it's easier to have the handle out when fitting the kit. Drop me your email address and I'll send the install guide. Dave

Ok I've been undecided in the last few days about selling up so I'm going to strip the car of parts I can easily replace later on should I decide to keep it. I'll be advertising stuff from today.

I don't think there will be a new project anytime soon, earliest it could happen is in the Winter.

I've thought some more about selling and yes I'll be putting up a for sale ad very soon.

Maybe I shouldn't admit to this but I used a half round gutter piece as it was the perfect profile. Welded it in, filled and painted and it's been ok since. I had already done it on my previous valver so I knew it was good. It's all detailed in my members gallery.

Yep still got it, postage cost will be £15 as it's a bit large.
