1. Hi, do you still have the mats for sale please?

2. Hi, Do you still have the boot mat for sale please?
3. Hi, I have managed to loose 1 of these while doing some work at the weekend. Does anyone have 1 spare at all? Its the plug and holder for it that holds the tray in place you need to remove to get to the fuse panel. Thanks, Charlie.
4. HI, what tail pipe finish does it have please?
5. Sorry I didn't take many photos as I got so wrapped up in doing it I forgot to pause and document it all. If I recall I used an angle grinder on the back metal plate the supports the stereo and then re positioned it lower down with fiberglass. The centre console was just cut with a sharp knife to keep it clean and then to re position the heater controls I made some hook style brackets to hold it in place further down and then screwed it together. I'm not great at design and fabrication so it was very simple and easy to do! The hardest part was the ashtray and lighter! I ended up having to relocate these as you can see but if you went the route of deleting these altogether you could just use the VDO guage plate which is potentially an even easier fix! It was all done in a few evenings and had to be able to go back to normal as it is my daily driver! I am really pleased with it, surprised at how good it looks and a lot of people look in awe that it must have been so hard to do! Word of caution though- if you do go angle grinder route like I did put some old rags under where you are cutting- unlike me to help avoid fires!!!
6. Hi there. I did this a couple of years ago and have put everything I did on 1 or my posts- have a look. It wasn't as scary as I thought!
7. I did a double DIN conversion to mine- it is on my build thread with pictures. It wasn't as much of a ball ache as I thought it was going to be overall!
8. Hello lovely people, I need your help again. My water pump committed suicide on me the other day. I have had it sorted and all is good but the garage have tried to order a replacement belt out of routine- the old 1 is OK but I would like to replace. Anyhow- they have now tried 8 different belts and all are too big- even from VW direct. Does anyone know the correct part number for the correct belt at all? It is for a G60 on a 92 plate. Thank you all in advance, Charlie.

Sunvisors

Hello Am after a pair of visors to replace mine. Am happy to clean them up but would rather no damage and n/s light to also be working. Let me know- would need to be posted unless in Colchester area. Thanks Charlie.
10. So we were booked in for VW white Noise this weekend just gone which gave me a reason to get some bits finished! With my mate Iain we managed to wire in a new green cigarette lighter, the light for the ash tray and the new illuminated heater dials while also re connecting the sub and re routing the wiring in the boot! Got it all done in good time and a few pics from the weekend. It went in the show n shine for Daily drivers on Saturday and the water cooled category on Sunday- no prizes though- the kids were not happy as they helped to clean it both days! 11. Hi Jim, I'm sure I did post before but cant see it. Can you put me down for 2 sets on the next buy? Ta, Charlie...
12. Looks awesome! Saw you the other week- I was walking as had just dropped mine off for the MOT! Sounded good too! Do you go to the Dub Generation meet locally? Charlie...
13. As stated before here are some pictures of the fitted stereo and my ashtray and temperature gauge! Next week I will be adding in the new heater control set up along with the upgraded ashtray bulb and also a green cigarette lighter. We will then probably use some cabinet brackets to hold it in place and also re trim it the same as the roof to finish it off. It was quite hard to work out how to mount it all without making it look total 5hite but I am happy with the outcome. I also plan to wire in the new sub and re route the wiring for it at the same time! Next on the hit list- I'm not sure- maybe I will start on the engine dress up- which incidentally is proving a mine field when you look at what some people have done and where have they put everything! All I want to do is tidy the wires away where possible and use some sleeving to dress it up a bit and a bit of polishing.
14. I do need to re do the visors and centre panel as they are a bit too glossy for my liking so will be re sprayed in satin. I also need to work on the visor roller as when you move it the paint cracks- I'm thinking of glueing some of the material to the little tube piece to give it better movement- any thoughts?

16. So! Last week after re trimming the roof panel and sunroof cover I decided to re fit it all. I ended up having to take the sunroof out to fit the trim and with help from our 8 year old holding it up re fitted it again! It all went in well and I am happy with the outcome. I was going to spray the surround trim black too but ran out of paint. As it is I quite like the distinction it gives and am planing on keeping it like this now!
17. Yes that's what I worked out too. It is Metallic Blue though :-)
18. Hi All, I've managed to lose 1 of my sunroof bolts. Does anyone have a spare that you would be prepared to send me please? thanks in advance, Charlie...

20. My divorce cam thoruhg last May- was quite surreal as i was on holiday fishing at the time I had a call from my solicitor to say it had all gone through! To celebrate I treated myself to a private plate. I spent a lot of time looking into different combinations and decided that this was the winner. Its a double whammy as if you know me you also know my car is always spotless and at the same time my initials are CD!
21. Next up was some more work internally- not got any pictures of it but again due to another obsession with less is more I wanted to upgrade the stereo, speakers and some improvements for travel etc. I brought a pioneer double DIN stereo for 1/2 price and then made an amazing discovery of a sat nav module for this- the truck type that was listed on ebay incorrectly. Everything was included and so the grand sum of £55 was paid for this bad boy! I then proceeded to cut and shut my dash to accommodate the double DIN stereo and support it- this involved cutting out the rear support bar with an angle grinder and re positioning it lower down. then moving down the heater controls and making them fit snugly and securely. Finally the cigarette lighter/ ashtray. this is the only part to develop still but in the meantime it fits well and I have also fitted an air temp gauge too in the charger outlet! the mdf will be trimmed in the next week or so after I re wire the ashtray light/ new bulb and also the cigarette lighter. 1 picture of when I installed- October 2012 but will take some more tonight of it all!
