thank mate they are both clocks i have bought for a g60 but both give different readings and are slightly different,is the above the only known difference. regards kevin

yeah i think your right mate,i belive thats what they were trying to say. but when i first inquired they said no problem! 16v g60 would be nice :lol: :lol:

just got off the phone to them and they have told me that they can change the engine number over no problem but they cannot change the vehicle type from 16v to g60, so i explained that when i made the initial inquiry about changing the v5 to g60 they told me what to do ,and this is what i had done,their answer was no one here would have told you that as its not possible!!MUPPETS :evil: so you will get a new document in the post,thank you goodbye. and cut me off. will wait to see whats on new document. is it possible to change the v5 to g60??? regards kevin

can someone with a g60 log book help me out. recently done a engine conversion from 16v to g60,sent away registration document to dvla and its been returned saying they have no record of such a car on there data base as this type of vehicle was not sold in the uk. the info i think need is vehicle discription, they are saying that vw gave a code for model description,and what i sent to them did not match any they got. all help appreciated regards kevin

yes mate tryed that i have a dewalt impact gun and it would not shift it, i then used a 21" breaker bar and socket and cracked the socket :shock: . going to my cousins garage tomorrow and to try a proper "air" impact gun. regards a very pissed off kevin :mad:

hi just transplanted a g60 into my old valver and everything works exept the dash board,so i sourced a digi clock set and wiring loom and after installing this nothing on the dash then worked,tryed a few searches on here and came across a document in german that i had translated and i now have 80% of the dash working :lol: the last 20% is where im left and was wondering if anyone knows what i still need to do . only the temp gauge and fuel gauge are not working,this is the only things needing to get done, if i plug my valver clocks in the fuel gauge works on them . so i think its only a wire needs changing over or something simple. any help gratefully recived. regards kevin

i found this mount much better than my vt mount ,engine still moved quite a bit with the vt ,but its nice and tight with one of johns

i have fitted one of these mounts recently and cannot fault what it has done to the car ,the engine stays nice and tight at all times ,even under hard exeleration,there is a small amount more vibration but nothing much, i changed from a vibratec mount to this and the diffrence is awsome,and at less than half the price of the vibratec its got to be good. can only praise john for his service regards kevin

i used konis on my last mk2 and after a month the fronts were leaking, someone round where i live was selling his konis of his raddo after they had been replaced twice by koni in two years but when i went to view them as they were going cheap the fronts were leaking again ! after being on for approx six weeks! kev i have standard replacement bilsteins on my raddo with apex springs and the ride is spot on, bought from e.c.p fronts were £28 and rears £18. not harsh at all in fact i think the ride is better than standard. regards kevin

can you change the size of the rubbber to use wheels without any probs,

porsche rims running these tyres, will they fit a 1989 corrado front 225/50/16 rear 245/45/16, with h&r adaptors,without any probs,car is lowered by approx 35mm. regards kevin

im running 17" momos on -35mm apex suspension and have no rubbing problems at all, only back box hitting rear beam with weight in the rear of the car.
