  1. great work. Looking amazing in thats colour. Hmmm. Wonder what odds a booky would give me for this car being featured in PVW once its finished.
  2. all fitted. works perfectly. another great solution from daves16v
  3. I think its all about just looking aroung. Rule of thumb is that euro style wheels tend it be quite wide. 8 or 9J. Also in order to get that euro look it helps having scretched tyres.
  4. Hi Daves16v, Can I have one please. With the Taps and drill bit. Thanks
  5. I had a friend in exactly the same spot when I had my MR2 turbo. He had a 16v C and was asking if he could do anything to keep up with the turbo. part from shelling out some serious cash the answer was no. But just think how much uber cooler the Corrado looks plus its a hell of alot rarer. Ive got one now while my MR2 turbo sits in a garage.
  6. I have just upgraded the brakes now on the car. green stuff pads and grooved disc from a company called CRN performance. Also took it to the new Westfield shopping centre in Shepards Bush. The parking there is sooooo easy, as you will see from the photos.
  7. Hello all, Don't know if this will help anyone but just spoke to my local VW garage. Turns out they are after £35.86 ex vat per wiper arm. The tt shop is now £111 inc vat. Think I will pop down vw and get myself a pair!!!
  8. will be good to see piccies miss carnage. When i did mine, the prep work and masking was the biggest pain. I strips across the reverse lights can be hard to mask up. If your doing smoked its pretty straight forward where if you use red tint, you will have trouble getting them through a MOT.
  9. Ive gotta say that I really like this film. :D I think it needs to be taken alot more light heartedly. I have got a Japan import aswell as my Corrado, so have always been into the scene. I prefer the cars in this film to the cars in the first two films. Also you have got to admit that putting a 200sx engine in a mustang is a pretty cool random thing to do.
  10. Thanks for the info David. Conveniently the 16v one is the cheapests as well. The only im doing it is because the crank seal has gone on the engine and the block is lossing mases of oil.
  11. Hello all, Im going to be getting a new clutch for my 16v. Just wondering if a g60 or vr6 clutch fits? If so is there any benefical gains from using them on a 16v? Thanks
  12. Quick update of pics I said I would post. Got one of the 4 branch mani that on it. new jetex exhaust, red rear etc. See what you guys think.
  13. I will be doing that soopn actually. One thing is i have a fairly large oil leak. Gonna be jacking it up tomoz to see where its coming from. Also little update: Have just bought grooved discs and green stuff pads so they will be going on soon.
  14. Thats a reall good finish on that bumper. I got a grey C myself. What colour is it. Corrado colour? or something a little different?
  15. I do on this thread. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=77265 Im gonna be taking the inlet manifold off in the next week and having a look inside to see any traces of porting or polishing. I have been servicing the car myself and also fixed a few broken bits in the car like the elec windows. Apart from that the changes I have made are: Jetex full system (the original was rusted to pieces) exterior grille/brow. Repaint of all badges. rear wiper removed all rear red lights lowered 40mm. (not happy so coilovers are coming soon) e30 BBS alloys which i love. They give a slighty more aggressive look compared to the g60 BBS. German style plates Clear indicators. The list looks pretty poor when I look at some of the members galleries on here. But im getting there. Gonna be working a the bodywork soon. Repainting the rear bumper and sorting out some tiny rust spots on the front arches that have reared there ugle heads recently.
  16. Hello all, I have been on the forum for a while now and thought it was about time I showed you all my corrado. I have been a VW fan and owner since I started driving. Had an mk1 Golf cabriolet GTI, mk2 golf GTI 8v and 16v. Unfortunately I did steer away fropm the scene when I bought a MR2 Turbo (which I still own) But now back on the scene with a 16v pearl grey corrado that I picked up in west London. Quick bit of history. Its got stamps all the way upto 95k from specialist like Scotts in London. I bought it in august 08 in standard condition (or so I thought) with some horrible 5 spoke halford wheels on it. After looking in the engine bay closer, I found it had a four branch manifold but no other mods at all. Then on the bonnet there was a sticker plate from Oettinger. (search oettinger???? and you will see the topic) I still looking into the hidden history behind this car. Anywho, here are some piccies. Tell me what you guys think. I have put a before, middle and after on there.
  17. The easier route to go would be something like Qpeng. But DBW is the cheaper of the options?
  18. im afraid gents that this conversion will have to be done on a small budget, so maybe ko3s engine might be the right choice. Do you think that the DBW option will the better of the two options if doing it on budget? What extra items would i need over the items they list on the Qpeng site to run DBW?
  19. thanks for the replies. the 230 BHP is where im looking max. Just looking for a really good replacement engine with a bit more grunt. The car is an everyday user aswell so want it to be reliable as pos. Do you guys think that for that sort of output S3, TT, or cupra R engines are gonna be best. Would I be scretching a golf gti engine to get that output? Also which is the easier install DBW or something like Qpeng?
  20. Ha ha ha. Hello Tom. Yeah im looking into a engine conversion. My car car is leaking so much oil, its like i left the sump on a speed bump smoewhere in middlesex. Thanks for the knowledge david. Im quite new to the idea, so when you DBW, this is the throttle opening and closing electronically instead of using a throttle cable? (like on my car at the mo)
  21. thank for the link as well swiftkid. Really helpful. Looks like there is alot to choose from.
  22. thank you for the answers so far. what about the skoda range. Are those engines compatible? Also Seat seem to have a few as stated above. Are the normal Cupra engine strong? any idea on the BHP?
  23. Hello all, Im seriously considering going for the conversion. I'm at the starting block so have a question for all which may help others in the future. Which 20vt engine is the best to start with and what would be its intial BHP? If anyone can list the engines that would best a massive help. Thanks
  24. Thanks for the info guys. I called him up, basically said I was sick and tired of him palming me off. I have told him that seeing as the turbo is "under guarantee" he should send it back to get it checked. One thing I can confirm is that this guy isnt getting any more of my money! :mad2:
  25. thats sad to here vwdeviant. I have only had mine since August last year so have an excuse. I would definitely have my car there. But then again I would prob get shown up by most of the of the cars on here. But I guess its the taking part that counts.
