  1. Well if you want a good job get them powdercoated but if you wanna do it yourself prob best to use hammerite spray paint, m8 used it and it came up well! also if you scratch, chip or kerb them you just touch them up! 8) I think black goes well cos it goes with black numberplate holder, mouldings, handles, etc, etc
  2. They were my team dynamic mozas in anthracite, i then had these on: Looked amzing! Black on Red goes sooo well! 8)

  4. Seen a good looking rear diffuser on a readers ride page 108, very nice lookin rado on tt rims. Anyway he has a "M3 style Rear diffuser" So is that a bmw diffuser or an aftermarket one? Its just as far as diffusers go looks a really good quality one, not too out of place. Cheers

  10. Nice car for a 15 year old, I had an oak green mk2 8V when i was 16, worked on it for when i was 17, dad had pleasure of driving it! I had a 16V 5 days after my 18th birthday and now just turned 20 with a vr6. Joys of fleet insurance!
  11. Well im a young un! These alloys are 8inch wide too, but im hopin to be a bit lower than 40mm. Things you do for looks eh? i must be a right ponce! 8)
  12. Rite thanks 4 the tips and especially the pics folks, I was getting the arches rolled and extended as i had that done on my last rado which had 17s and theres bags of room. I can understand folk sayn it looks too big,etc but if you get the right alloy which your happy with it can look soo nice. questions for the 18inch users - whats the lowest you can go?,whats the height you use daily? and is the ride quality easy to live with? Thanks again!
  13. Ok I know 16inch are the best for looks/handling'performance, but i ran 17s on my 16V and i thot it wasnt that bad. So through my work I can get my DREAM set of alloys for a stupid price BUT there 18s. :? Now they will be on my vr6 and im not bothered about losing a bit of performance cos i wana keep my licence but how bads handling, steering, etc I know its daft so dont bother replying "dont do it" 'thats daft" ,etc I want people who HAVE ran 18s to tell me there experience! Cheers! :)

    What do yous think?

thanks for the comments guys! yeah im stuck, tinted m3s would look the daddies! but then i mite regret it cos blacks lookin stealthy! Think Vr6 badge got nicked and a previous owner has put it on wrong! Madjackal- ill keep you in mind!
  15. Yeah well every1 said to keep it on for a while for a bit of banter!well ive saved 15quid on a sunstrip anyway!
  16. What yous think? Im 50/50 at mo,getn black alloys and lowered so itl look better but im thinkin the dark crystal m3 lights, would give it a bit of a better breakup? feels too black at times. And can anyone notice something different with back of the car? (apart from the shocking towbar  - which will be off tomorrow!)
  17. This across my windscreen!!!!!! Guy who does signwrighting beside my work for all the boyracers was bored and decided to make me look a right T*T! Had folk giving me right funny looks!  :x
  18. nah your alrite! Just been away down to North Berwick with my gf and brakes are actually fine, just needed a bit of use. i dont know about the chain but it doesnt sound bad, needs its next service and ill keep on top of the oil changes! Thanks for the comments!
  19. Well here it is, and i got it cheaper! 1300 pounds!!!! :D Drove it up from Liverpool last wed, drove like a dream, everythings solid and everything works, interior is immaculate! 6 owners but FSH from VW dealership with HPI report, not many reciepts but the fact the dealership has had it from near enough new i reckon its been looked after. Bodywork was actually better than i was expecting but there are the usual wee dents and the drivers door and wing are very rusty! Brakes felt dodgy, mite have warped discs and its got the dreaded cutting out now and then at junctions or when you stop. However these could be due to the fact the car was sat at dealership for 7 to 8 weeks. But they'l be checked out with its next service. I'll also be taking towbar off aswell! :) Worried bout the old insurance aswell, 20 years old but will be on old mans fleet insurance third party but excess will be high! Vr6 is like a complete different car compared to my old 16V (which will be up for sell!) Happy Days!
  20. just as bloody well a corrado wasnt bought! Banger racing at end!! Mr Clarkson had a total different car for that race, Fell respray to white+Turbo for 500 quid? Hmmm!
  21. easy boys i work at ripspeed! halfords are just middle men who then put 33% mark up on everything! Why did you buy from halfords in the 1st place? We charge a bloody fortune on BBS alloys! We get our BBS alloys from Motorsport Wheels and they always have probs with BBS for some reason? But seriously ask to see the manager n get refund and go elsewhere, halfords/ripspeed are for general folk with gereral cars who are not into cars, motorsport, etc! Even with my 15% staff dicount i can STILL get products cheaper elsewhere!
  22. Yeah i remember you telling me bout that! Rite cheers boys! 4 hour drive south with cash on mon looks a plan if tomorrow works out fine...fingers crossed!
  23. Rite just got a phone from my brothers friend who works for vw, hes all over england and he spotted a black L reg Corrado Vr6 with a huge milage -170K! Price 1900 pounds! (No leather) He said it was in good condition and was most likely a rep car with motorway milage as its owned by a friend of the director of that actual dealership, so im thinking it should be looked after? Anyway hes going tomorow to get pics, check service history, engine noises, etc, etc So we'l see but....... What does everyone else think? I know theres a lot of bad 1s out there and you get what you pay for, but thats good value for someone who knows they'l have to give it a bit of tlc? i.e.....me!
