nah sorry getn anoying now! dont know how many times ive pm'd him asking for a price so i can get a cheque sent off to him and he just says that he has the part but doesnt put a price up!

The cables from the heater control panel are like stretched or worn, when you use the dials it wont shut or open vents or the flap for cold/hot air, got down to check and used a screwdriver to manually move them. now managed to get replacement dials from a passat and ive read in the knowledge base how to tweak them but will i have to get replacement cables?or is it just worn dials? Hope i dont have to put new cables cos they look a right b@stard to fit! looks like you have to take dash out again! :x

So when i was 17 with an 8V gti, the car was just chucked on along with the lorrys n vans we had! it hardly moved, but excess was more than the car, now 20 with the vr its near enough the same story, excess of £750 and third party.

Already tried this! many a times! lost count,if i snap it off, will i be able to drill it out and attach another bolt and nut?
-
Ok everythins goin fine until i get to the bulkhead to take the actual heater matrix off, taken the two pipes off, then the 1st 10mm bolt at the top then i went onto the 2nd 10mm bolt (by the brake line) and the b@stard bolt just spins with the thread,so I can get it off. Tried soaking it in wd40,had all types of vice grips, molegrips on it but the they just slide off the thread! Its really p!ssing me off cos everythings went smoothly until this stupid bolt! Any ideas? is snapping it off a good idea if all else fails? And is there just this bolt left? any others to take off around the bulk head?! Cheers!

Cos you ever though about buying a winter hack cos of all the salt n sh!t on the roads? Sorry if sum1s alrady asked you this, just 50 odd pages is alot to read! But top effort, you prob have the most famous corrado if not Vw in Britian at the mo and it goes to show with the effort you put in!

this is a common mistake its 1001 ps, so not so many bhp But like all VW's it was dynoed at 40 degrees C so on a cool day it will be higher. erm yeah i was wrong cos its more than 1001 bhp or ps, read the article on evo and apparently is got sumthing like 1040 or 1050 bhp,but because VW boss said he would make a supercar capable of 1001 bhp they just kept with it!
-
Yeah done mine black, and i have a bottle of the yellow stuff, just wondering if that was the method! very tempted!
