hi all right my mate has got this raddo hes jus t bought now its lowered on the same springs all the way round by 40mm apex i think anyways hes got one brand of shocks on the front and another on the rear is this bad? scott

hi right ive stayed with VW and as some of you remember i was after a raddo for quite a while but in the end i wanted a vr6 raddo but the insurance or £1300 was to much what with trying to move out etc...... .... anyways i got a mk2 16 gti on h plate and im after changing the stock bbs wheels as there are all pitted!..... ive seen some schimdt alloys 16x6.5 offered on the Rand A website and i think they look well nice... now mine is lowered 60mm and has no arch mods so will these go straight on and be ok.... if not what will i need to do and what tyre size do you recmoend.... my motor is also well mint but i cant seem to put up any pics :( they appear blank if anyone is willing to post them up for me ill galdy send them to them Scott

hi everyone i want to get my alloys refurbished and ive found this company called "select finish" based in cambridgeshire the specialise in whats called "smart repairs" the best thing about them they do onsite repair work so theres no need to send my wheels off leaving my car on bricks!! so if you have heard good or bad let me know guys cheers Scott

erm just like to make a point here doesnt it depend which vr engine is used in the mk2 for intance the golf mk3 version is a 2.8 with 172bhp???? and the raddo has a 2.9 with 190bhp???? so which engine used against the raddo vr6 in race with a mk2 would make difference obviously? 2p

yeah yeah i know... jedi ive been looking around for so long i just love the shape of the raddo and how it feels when i sit in one... that if i see a nice one g60 or vr6 i will have a look at it the search goes on....? Scott

thats the point ive got a 1000 interest free overdraft (ex student) and im using this versus taking a loan!!!!! could kill the credit card i suppose! :mrgreen:

im really excited at the prospects of owning this car its gorgeous!! but im worried about the next 2 weeks before payday??? as will have nothing, no over draft etc!!! dont know what to do.... as on the other hand it will hold its value and will be more than reliable in my eyes. im in mildenhall but work on the sci park in cambridge!!

how bloody nice it was to drive... you know when you buy a new car it takes a while to get used to well as soon as i sat in the seat it was such a drivers car!!! i loved it ive got to give a decsion tonight on it.... its a 95 black VR with 55k (verified) full vwsh and is mint oh and one lady owner! she wants £5800 oringinally 6k but i haggled a bit as you do!!! just wondering whether to take the plunge as it will leave brassic till pay day :( but will give me im sure :lol: when driving her! quick question though is the original alarm system instaled by VW on the raddo thatcham approved or will i need to get a CAT 1 system installed... and do you guys have any prefereces on alarm systems ive been quoted £300 for a toad system! cheers Scott

VW quote me over a £1000 for a head gasket changer on a VR6 a while back!!!

sounds as if this is the same bunch the thing is the more they do it the more cocky they get and hopefully more careless they get until they get busted!!!!!!! :twisted:

Its like something out of gone in 60 seconds at the moment!!! Well ive got no chance of some stealing my beast at the moment as i dont have anything worth taking unless they like volvo 740 gle with almost 200k on th clock!!! and no mods what so ever!!!! its a serious passion wagon!!! still ill have a nice motor again as soon as i can find one thats round long enough to me go and view!

My mate lives in wisbeach and i went there for a weekend and had to take what had at the time my mint escort RS turbo and let me tell you...... you couldnt get me away from the curtains i was worried all night!!! as next to his house was a burnt out escort rs turbo!!!! I hope bruce gets his car back as i know hes had it a long time and has spent much cash on it.... thieving little buuggers just cos there to lazy to go to work make an honest living to build one themselves!

do the pads and discs your self its a piece off p!ss to do and i have no idea about mechanics of cars what so ever!!!!
