  1. Would that be the 'EXHAUST' manifold you were s'posed to be checking?
  2. What no 'wing of bat, eye of newt..etc'?
  3. I'm guessing but I expect Venom Motorsport will do them.

  5. I have read of one or two places you can send them off to, someone here probably knows more info
  6. Get that matrix changed now, doing it last december was a real pain!
  7. Late ones come complete with the plastic surround that holds the indicators, which is why you can't mix and match.
  8. Don't know about the mount numbers, but in the past with a mates help I've used a socket extension + allen key bit, through a socket for the big nut, while holding the socket with a big pair of molegrips. 8) Craftsman's tools   Improvise, Adapt, Overcome!
  9. Self amalgamating rubber tape seems to have done the job okay for now. Got to Stanford and back fine!! I'm gonna have to mod the solid plastic pipe to get a better angle to the TB, may have to bite the bullet on the elbow in the end, it's cracking and will eventually break up. :( Mind you if a new one lasts another 18 years that's not so bad!!! 8)
  10. Goota agree with davidwort there those indicators are not at all reliable.
  11. My idle has been dicking about, a bit low and grumbly. Today I found the rubber elbow from black plastic tube to the TB has got a split in it, Stealers want £51.36 inc VAT   i'll be looking at Stanford methinks........
  12. I bought an amplified aerial at a show 9 years ago and it's still fine. It wasn't OEM and it cost me £9 on the day! Of course the stumpy aerial i bought on the group buy doesn't fit it - Ar$e :bad-words: !!
  13. TopTip - read the hand book!
  14. ha ha KipVR wrote 'lens' instead of lense and i read it as a possible multiple!! not too bad a price though

    Aero Wipers.

Are they like this?? Retro wipers £13.85 del.
  16. Cool, I too have crack issues! Edit:....er.. that sounds wrong!
  17. You haven't got a Cat but the down pipe is longer incorporating a box as part of it anyhow, I've got a Milltek 'cat-back exhaust' and mines a 1990 16v. Cat-back'll fit, buy one! Edit: Didn't read AQUA G60's last paragraph! But totally agree, just buy the right year for the hangers!
  18. That a good price from dealers, 10 years ago they quoted me £205.15 o/s and £215.45 n/s  ...........+VAT  Gpc @£115 a side in the end, genuine parts too, then i got xenon bulbs and a loom!
  19. Good luck mate, if that is the problem the only difficulty will be removing the bolt stub. If you can't do that then obviously it's a strip and rebuild. Part of the reason for taking it to Vince was hewas only an hour away and if I was gonna have to have a rebuild I may as well have got him to do it with his excellent reputation in that dept.!!!!
  20. I had this in my C, the bolt holding 5th gear on the shaft had sheared. I could sometimes get 5th but it would remind me something was wrong with a horrible grating sound. The syncomesh cogs stopped it coming right off the shaft and that's what made the noise. Vince at Stealth whipped off the g'box end-cap and managed to remove the old bit of bolt and replace it in-situ,.............which was nice! It could be that simple.....or maybe not. Hope that helps, Colin.

    Heater

If you take off the ducting from the blower motor to the mixer box you can get your hand on the matrix. If it is heating up but you're getting no/little warm air it may be like mine was, simply 3/4 blocked with dust/fluff/sh1te etc. The air was all going through the unblocked 1/4, thus cooling it fairly quickly even with the fan on 1. Changed the matrix and it's all toasty now :shades:
  22. Bit of both and one day it may be garaged, Driveway for now - 99k in 10'n' half years 178k now 8)
  23. Not if you weld in 2" sections and cool with an airline in between apparently. That's what the classic car geezer that welded my gutters did, slow but it works!!!
