6. Your a brave lad. I guess this will be a big job to do? and will be heavy on the old wallet ??
7. Best to get the more expensive coil pack not the cheap ones as you will be buying twice. I got a replacement from euro Parts http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Corrado_2.9_1995/p/car-parts/engine-parts/ignition1/ignition-coil/?413440250&1&ab41e0740c079ba1ef24a0c8e86380441747481c&000197 GSF do them. Also you can search the forum on the subject plenty of info on here.
8. I'm having to replace my rear shocks as they have started to weep oil. (advisory from the MOT). 90.000 miles but it will be the age of the shocks. I think they look like they are the originals from new. Not sure tbh.
9. Check the earthing of the battery too?
10. B*******S. I'll keep an eye open on VAG parts for sale on FB. and the wheel emporium this link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/dubfictionwheelemporium/ I would be good if everyone can spend a little while looking on there at posts for sale and swaps as it is a popular site and is country wide you never know. NOTE: The wheel emporium is a site to sell and swap legit items and therefore can be abused and used for selling on stolen property unaware to the site administration.
11. Rob what seal did you use . i did mine and used silicon first and it was a big fail. I got some of this and has done the job spot on, the flexi stuff and can be pulled off and re-stuck its what the manufacture uses when new i believe. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221224948406?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
12. David, so whats your opinion on the AP coil overs as i am not lowering too far, about 40mm is the limit for me.
13. I was looking into lowering springs but being on a tight budget i started this thread and asked about coil over alternatives. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=89002
14. Bit of advise needed. Been quoted from my local dealers.... £41 for two 5 litre tubs of 10w/40w VW Synta Silver engine oil. Read this is the oil to be going for? My engine has done just over 89.000 miles. Oil filter £12.64p will check the part number is 021115562 (seen this on the forum). Also quoted £13 for 2 litres of standard gear box oil. Asked about plug removal tool but he could not quote me. he was service not parts so didn't get any where with that. Is the tool you buy from VW not that good? i'm sure i read that somewhere. So if so it means i'll be looking for a plug lead puller. Whats the best make of sparking plug, but not stupid money to run? Cheers
15. TBH The place to locate the air tank is the boot. My son had this Dilema and had to run with a tin of the quick fix foam / gel thingy tyre stuff. I presume it's C your running?
16. Well hello brother lol. It;s a small world.
17. Loom now fitted and working. I was lucky both the middle screws on the head lights came out no problem. Which was a bonus as i usually always have bad luck with anything like that.
18. Hassan if you want any advise on air ride its self give me a shout, where to buy etc.
19. The loom was delivered yesterday. Cheers James fast and prompt service. looks a real quality job. Just got to fit it to the car now. Just a question i need to ask, after reading the instructions... It says to unplug your ballast resistor to ensure correct function of the loom. Location of this would be nice to know before i start the job if anyone has a answer? Can the head lights stop in to change the bulbs. I read if the middle screw is rusted it's a dog of a job.
20. Thought i'd post a pic of the car from last weeks meeting.
21. James, Payment sent look forward to getting the loom :thumbleft:
