Been trawling through the posts on door lock problems, but have not found a solution. My issue is when I lock the car all the doors lock, boot and the petrol cap. The issue is with the drivers door the central locking is moving the button down on the door but the door is not locking, but will lock perfectly ok with the key. I have looked at all the wiring as it was mentioned it could be a loose/ broken wire behind the membrane. The wiring seems ok and i do have movement on the button as i mentioned, so it is ponting towards a faulty lock? or could it be a deeper problem.

My car does get to temp pretty quick but not so as to worry. The temp sits at 70 to 75 when driving same Robs really oil temp is around the 100 mark both rising in traffic. The cooling fan comes on on the first speed high 80's. (i fitted new rad 2 years ago)

Long, long shot here, but hey it's xmas.... my Conlog keyfob is playing up. I have had it to a auto electrician and he has re-soldered all the joints, this seemed to work for a while then decided to pack in. Does anyone also know the correct battery voltage for the fob as i have had a few different answers to this.

Cheers for that Sean. :thumbleft:

Yes agree with Dragon my car was covered in a mixture of lime / glass powder / brick dust all the time when i was working at the steel works. Snow foam it a couple of times and wash with plenty of soap, straight line movements not round and round. Do complain to the council as there are rules and regs to ensure dust levels are kept to a minimum, obviously they have not bothered in this case.

I fitted the new heater blower, seems ok up to now. The motor is as quiet as the old one tbh and all the speeds are good. I must admit that i bought the new motor to find that the resistor is not included (what was i thinking, for that price? :bonk:) so had to solder a new thermal fuse in the old unit, so all 4 speeds are now back.

Cheers Goldie, had a look under the dash whilst i was fitting new heater blower/ motor but can't see anything really, have you got the page number on your build thread? for the pic.

Replaced the heater fan today and thermal resistor as only working on number 4 speed (nice wiki how to do on the forum, worth it's weight in gold again :thumbleft:) and i have also been trying to tackle and solve an annoying lack of air flow on both the windscreen and floor positions on the passenger side of the car. I would have thought it would have been ok as it is nearest to the fan motor. Has anyone got a diagram of the lay out? maybe it is a flap issue? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. (Car has no air-con).

Just thought I'd do an update, the heater blower still playing up new fuse blew again the heater is getting noisy so i took advantage of an Halloween promotion at Euro car parts so got a Vemo replacment unit for £31. I few members have replaced theirs with this unit so hopeful it will be ok.

No worries we all spend a lot of time tinkering.

Had a few issues with the head lights last week the high beam was blowing the fuse in the uprated wiring loom strange really, sorted now. Also the old problem of the heater speed only running on number 4 speed. Fixed this as well 99p fix, new thermal fuse, job done.

I'm happy with the ap's, it's all about budget really when it comes to suspension. Go with your heart (or what your wallet can take).
