Ive got about 90mm on 17s if this is a competition? have i won anything? apart from a broken spoiler and shredded tyres!! I was parked next to Chris at inters
-
Hes blaggin ya.the only thing that can be done to ecu is raise the rev limiter
-
Surley it doesnt matter if there rollers are out because they give you a before and after figure showing the improvement.Anyway,i dont care about bhp,i care about how the car feels on the road where it counts!!! My car goes really well when engine is cold but as it warms up it losses power possibly indicating its running to rich so id rather stealth be able to set it perfect

You can buy a cat bypass pipe but you will need the cat fitted for mot unless you know someone who does mots
-
They up the fuel pressure, advance the timing and then do the famous wur mod.The Wur is the warm up reg,It has a tamper proof cam on the back which stealth drill out and behind it is a screw which can richin the mixture across the entire rev range as 16vs are prone to leaning off higher up the rev range.I think its £45 plus vat for an hour on rollers which should be enough but i was told that maximum i might need 2hours.16bhp for £50ish sounds a bargain to me.The wur mod can only be done to corrados with k-jet injection so thats kr 1.8s
-
Stealth can get 155bhp out of a standard 1.8 16v just by tuning,no extras, thats why im booked in end of july 8) You cant go bigger injectors cos its not poss with k-jet.Its worth remembering k-jet is good for well over 200bhp! Ive got the 2 exhaust cam mod in mine which worked wonders and i also have a stainless 4branch but i didnt really notice much with that. Most cams for 16v just shift the power further up the rev range which you dont want.but ive seen good results on cars with mild kents and shricks
-
I fitted the bigger 1 to my 1.8 and it felt more powerful topend but when i changed it back i really noticed the boost at 4k instead of waiting around for 5k.Small 1 all the way 8)
-
Im suffering the same.just bought my parents a standard golf 16v and its much quicker than my corrado with lightened flywheel,4branch and 2 exhaust cams  I take it its because the corrado is lardy and has crap gear ratios.Im having mine rolling roaded next month,so will be able to post plots with cam mod
-
The minute i had it fitted i noticed it felt alot more powerful at 2k upwards which is wot the corrado needs and it pulls even harder at 4k.You dont notice the kick at 4k as much due to having power lower down but it pulls harder and smoother.Best mod ive ever done and it cost me £35
-
Its not the exhaust cam modded as inlet cam like i have in mine? The zorst cam has more than 1mm lift than the 9a inlet cam making it something like 10.2mm instead of 8.9mm lift
-
The 5cyl audi throttle body is only a good mod for mk1 gti as the mk2 has the same size anyway.AIDE did you mean a 20vt throttle body? Anyone know if they would fit?
-
Drill a hole in the backbox then it will draw cold air into warm box which causes the pop.ACTUALLY,DONT
-
Take the snorkel out and see wot you think! That way you can put it back if you dont like it.I swiss cheesed mine wing side and front and it sounds PHAT!

tsr do it dont they?

I missed the last group buy but if the price is right id be interested in some for my 16v

PIPERCROSS INDUCTION FOR A K-JETRONIC.......ANYGOOD??
flusted replied to RadoAds's topic in Engine Bay
Like i said i only bought mine cos it looks good,It felt a little bit more responsive but i fitted it with 10mm ht leads at same time so dont know which made the difference  You must have good heatshield if your guna use piper item otherwise you will lose power -
Golf is the same as corrado. There is 1 pipe that the golf kit has that the late corrado with ke-injection doesnt.this is the one that goes to idle stabilizer valve.90 will have this pipe tho

Ive got one on mine. The drilled box i had was louder,i only went for the piper 1 cos ive made a nice carbon heat shield for it and it looks sweet! -
Its quite easy to do yourself.I did mine with a dremel on my 16v.Not sure about vr tho. I didnt notice a difference on standard engine but hope it helps when i have my new cams fitted and a stealth tune
-
I read your only soposed to use vw stuff but im using a £3 bottle of cheap crap in mine with no probs.I beleive the vw stuff is about £30
-
Ive just fitted one to mine.A friend done it for me for £75.The origanal 1 on my 16v weighed 21lbs,my new 1 weighs 11lbs. Its a good job i changed it as i noticed the clutch was down to the rivets! I havent put it all back together yet but i cant wait
-
Has to be zorst cam modded to an inlet cam, this has made my car much more driveable 8)
-
Im sure they would do it,Give em a call for a price
-
You only need to change the inlet cam as the exhaust cam is the same!! I have one in the forsale section and a k&n panel filter :D
