Now I’ve uploaded that picture. I'm pritty sure I've got my voltmeter set totally wrong! ;-) The reading seams to depend on where I place the negative lead from the voltmeter. When placed on the alternator casing the volt meter was reading 0.4, which if I've done everything right means my lambda sensors caput! Correct??
-
Folowing on from this thread; Other thread I'm trying to test my Lambda sensor. Am I doing it write according to the attached pictures?

I'm reluctant to change my windscreen wipers because they've been on the car since I bought it 3 yrs ago. They come and go, bless um!! -

Again been in touch with BBM and they want $115 to ship 5 to one address in the UK. I really don’t think it’s worth the hassle and cost now. BUT, Baz2004 has heard back from the guy on clubgti who sells the RPT ones at the top of the page. Apparently he has some again. I'm not sure if we need to get a few to get them for £44 including delivery. So who wants one? So far; CaiosG60 PWR samg60 Baz2004 Supercharged MickeyT Do all the above still want one even if it’s not the BBM jobbies? -
I think two 16vG60 2 doors in black where made too.

Whats going on with the pipe work in that picture? Look at the pipe going from the intercooler back into the air box!!

I've had an email back from BBM regarding my first enquiry for one mount. They quoted me $65 shiping!! So I've contacted them now to ask about a small group buy. If they cant do a lot better on the shiping then I'd rather keep trying to get hold of the guy on clubgti with the RPT mounts. Anyone know him? I've pm'd him over clubgti but no response. -

Okay thats four then! I'll send an email and see what can be done. -
Think Ant (bannaman) told me he ran 18psi front and 40 psi rears. Think you need to start a little less extreme than that and then alter it for each run to test the effect. Think it depends on the weather. If its bone dry then 18psi maybe too low.

Found another one on Bahn Brenner. If the guy on ClubGti doesnt have any of the ones above I'll get one of these. http://www.bahnbrenner.com/media/php/ca ... &catid=156 69.95 USD = 40.1231 GBP What do you think? -
Autosol is fine. I use Silver Braso if I've been lazy and havent polished them for a while. Then I use Peak polish as I think its a little less abrasive than Autosol so gives a better shine.

Here we go, check this out http://www.diy-compressors.com. A really well put together site with loads of idiots guide to air compressors! :-) Just what I needed! ;-)
-
Cheers Gavin, I'd totally over looked the need for a transformer with the 110v. I wont be going to Harewood on Sunday unfortunately. I've got a mate in Leeds who is probably going. I'll give him a bell and see if he can pick it up from you for me. This page seams good for SIP compressors and air tools; http://www.worldofpower.co.uk/acatalog/ ... iven_.html The 100 and 150 are the ones I'm considering. It lists the max psi the same on each one!?!?!
-
billinjahg60, what size and power is your airmate?
-
No one else know anything about compressors? The one I can find on the net are pritty expensive. Well, more than I though they would cost. :-( I'm drawn to this SIP make at the moment. Anyone know a good value for money make? Not sure what model I could get away with. Would a 3hp 100 litre be okay?

any Ferrari!!

I'm sure I've read something about the use of glue on the "run what you brung" website. Aparently that guy with the road legal Audi drag car drove it to bug jam last year.
-
Sweet! Cheers Gav. I'll need a buzz gun, circular sander thing for prepping and a decent spray gun. (may have a buzz gun on the way though, mate in a Jag garage reckons they get new ones in all the time) Let me know when you want to get rid. Check out this one on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 7980950686 Is this a bit ott for my needs? It may be a bit over my budget. I was hoping to get the compressor and tools for about £250.
-
£800!!! Report them to VW uk for trying to rip off there customers!! Where is this VW dealers, so we can all avoid them?
-
I need to buy an air compressor. :? I want to use for a buzz gun, prepping body work and spraying. What sort of compressor do I need? I have been told something 3hp and with a 150 capacity. Where's a good place to get one? I don’t want to spend much on one, a cheap one will do. It'll probably only get a months intensive use then just a couple of times a month. So it doesn’t have to be the best you can get or anything.
-
Good bit of info that Olly, cheers!
-
What do you want doing to them exactly? Polished outers, chromed, new bolts, center painted or powder coated, etc.
-
There a company called "fat wheels" that do them. They advertise in PVW somtimes.
