It looks nice! How much did you guys pay or it? What sort of power is it putting out? I neet to get something smaller than i have know and was thinking an active sub was the way to go!!! :D

that was what i was thinking of doing. but the ones i was going to buy were from a G60 with 40mm lowering spring on the. Are they the same spring for all corrados? cos they are really hard anyway. If not i will just keep my springs.

I used to have a 306XSI and found that it handled well till you really pushed it then it just used to let go!!! I dont really know what my v6 handles like yet cos i have probs with my suspension!!

Have you got some sort of ventalation for the amps? I have had loads of problems with amps overheating!!

I have an oil leak on my vr it is going down the back of the engin! So i am sure it is the head gasket! Does the timeing chain hae to be changed when the head gasket is done? and what else would have to be done other than a posible skim! How much do you think this will cost? :cry: I was told that you can just tighten down on the head bolts as tight as you dare! but i am a bit worried to do this! cheers Dan

sorry i ment to quote this one!!!! :oops: TBH thats just about right for a Scottish VW dealer............thats actually on the cheap side nationally......if you want fun try getting a quote in London then you'll think £42 is a bargain........anyway the oil + filter change is what they charge as that will be using whichever oil that they(the dealer-group) use.........unless you specify a particular type......i got done once with esso £10 a litre stuff :shock: :shock: :shock: ......the way to avoid getting hit is to say that you'll supply the oil and just want the labour charge and filter charge or to save you getting your hands dirty.........buy a sump plug gasket,genuine VW filter and whatever oil you want......go down to your local "kwik-fit" etc and get 1 of their "oil+filter" change specials.......but tell them to keep their oil+filter........voila an oil + filter change done for just under £20 labour + cost of oil and filter :wink:

if it was esso ultron stuff it is good stuff! esso exxon and mobil merged back in 1999 or 2000 and is know called exxonmobil they are know the same company! That esso ultron is made to the same standard and mobil1 oil! it was made in fawley where i used to work!

mine is like that and i have just put new ones on! :shock: I don't like the way it looks i even to it off again and checked that i had put it back together correctly!

So the fancy looking ht lead dont improve performance at all then? and if not will the ecp or gsf ones be as good as the standard vw ones?

I take it that this is the MAF sensor?! (see attachment) When i take it off the engin doesn't stall it ound like it is running out of fuel is this what is is supost to do? :?

Can worn bump stops cause body roll?? Or could it be the springs? the car doesn't sag at all! What is best to go for powerflex of standard jobbies?

ok the other problem is i have ordered a bently manual off e-bay bt it isn't hear yet so i don't really know what half this stuff looks like or where it is! What does MAF stand for? (is there some sort of glossery somewhere) Is there someone that can sell me a copy of the bently maunal on cd cheap cos i want bothe anyway! :D

Ok cheers i will try and get hold of a high impedance meter and give it a go! How do i check the MAF sensor?

Hi i think my vr6 is running a bit rich the only way i know to sort this out is buy having it tuned. The only problem is is that because i have a CAT the guy at the tunning place told me it cant be done?! :?: Is this true? What can i do to get this problem sorted? Cheers

Hi my top radiator hose has now got a small hole in it :mad: I have done a temp fix with some of that hose tape but i really want a new hose. ecp, gsf dont do them and vw want about £70 for one does any of you know where i can get one on the cheap? if not i will have to cut out the damaged bit of hose and make a join which i dont really want to do! cheers for your help! P.S. does you vr spluter into the header tank thought the radiator intake when you are bleeding the system ? cos i have a bad feeling that it could be the head on the way out :cry:

Hi i have a sigma alarm on my vr but the phob i have is very old and doesn't work very well! it also isn't a sigma phob it is a quantium phob. What i would like to know is can i get another phob or am i going to have to fork out £350 for a new alarm? :( P.S. cheers for all the help that you guys on cf have given me!
