seanoVR 0 Posted October 30, 2004 Love to see that tearing up the strip! 8) What is the engine from?
SpencerTramm 0 Posted November 1, 2004 The engine is a 468ci (7669cc) Big Block Chevrolet that is normally aspirated and runs on Methanol. The door handles are from a Ford Focus, the doors I bought came without handles and they were like rocking horse poo to track any down, I think these are better anyway! The reason you can't see me is that we have converted the car to left hand drive to counter-balance the torque when I leave the start line. The best time so far is a 9.21 @ 146mph, although we are still in the very early development stages and I have been more focused on consistency rather than outright speed, it seems to have payed off with a championship in my first year and 5 wins out of 6 meetings. The tyres don't rub but only because the whole of the tinwork interior has been specially made. The arches were stretched forward about 4 inches to make the wheels fit. Doing this and mving the rear wheels forward has shortened the car to a 94" wheelbase. Spencer :)
