Chris VR6nos 0 Posted June 29, 2005 THe little red highlight that tells you that 'RON' stands for Research octane number, is that right cos when i was at college we were told it was 'Relative octane number'! Anyway, i'm waiting for Shell's 100ron V-Power to get here, we used it a lot of the way to Austria and back, 'Tis gut yah'! Chris
devils_advocate 0 Posted June 29, 2005 Normal petrol local to me costs 86.9 at tesco and thats a penny or two cheaper than other local garages, i cant imagine them selling the better stuff for cheaper, or were they the prices a month ago?

dig776 0 Posted July 3, 2005 Went to the Tesco in Exeter this afternoon with the intention of filling up with 99 ron and it had gone!!! only 97 ron!! Asked the assistant what had happened to the 99 ron and she said "what does ron mean?" Maybe the trial has ended?
Trig 0 Posted July 4, 2005 Massive building work going on next to my local tesco, fingers crossed it's a garage that comes complete with 99ron, but this is cornwall we are talking about, more likely to be a tesco pasties
