Cant Get It Up

anyone know where i can get spare parts for recaros?.......it'll go forward ,back and down...but not up! :( :(

Remove switch, douse in contact cleaner, re-fit switch.

 

99% certain to fix the problem.

 

Edit: Might even be able to do it in-situ

Were your Recaros factory fitted?

 

Oh, and I notice you now have another C so which one has them?

:lol: That handbrake handle looks pretty high, but then I think I was just used to seeing mine with new mk4 calipers and a freshly adjusted cable.

you f*&^(ng freak!........yes they do need replacing....as do the ones on my 8v......stop picking holes in my fleet....

Remove switch

 

ok.... i got as far as that point with no probs.....then i got stuck......

 

how do i remove the switch...(( i dont wanna snap it! ))

plus....has anyone removed a recaro set before.....the instructions in the knowledge base are for standard seats.....the plastic trim thats supposed to just slide off has some sorta clip on the top of it...ive tried sliding it around etc...but i dont want to put any pressure on it in case of braking it!....anyone know what im on about?

if you cant get it up spend less time on the forum dude!! i had recaros in my last rado 1/2 leather too man i wish id taken those out!! they never went up even with a new switch was well annoying but i hope the swith is the fault on yours mate

does the switch come off in the same sorta way as the late heater controls?....i always feel like i breaking them when i take them off!.....i cant see another way of removing the switch except prising them off with a screwdriver?...
