Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 10, 2008 Yes the Gemini is an absolutely stunning peice of engineering. You would have a major sex wee if you saw it in the flesh Mr Monkey  Semi helical goodness, built to VWMotorsport standards, well, it was the gearset VWM actually used on the MK3 Rally car. Shaun just needs the cromoly driveshafts now to get transmission wind up down to zero. With the stock shafts, you can feel the shafts twisting...it's a momentary "softness" in engine pull after engaging the clutch. With that gearset (which is also significantly harder metal than stock) plus the shafts, it'll be bang - bang - bang through the gears and the only give will be in the tyres and engine mounts. Awesome!
StormchargedVR6 0 Posted October 10, 2008 Kev ,thats reminds me must get the rear engine mount :thumbleft:
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 10, 2008 Yeah I find VT comp front, VT comp gearbox and VT fast road rear is the best compromise for harshness. Comp all round is a bit in your face!!
