mrbeige 0 Posted September 8, 2005 please dont tell me his 3 series is an e36? Gees, IMO opinon a modern golf/mk2 focus are as well made as a BMW 3 series! I would say better! And so would a mate of mine in the trade! And he has a Beemer....N-reg 328i coupe...now that is a worthy Beemer, none of this 316/318 $hit
samm_cvr6 0 Posted September 8, 2005 Yea, true, I was just being reserved, come to think of it, I would think a new Astra hatch is probably as good as a 316! LOL, and I would defo prefer a Honda, prob even a Toyota or Nissan if you are looking at reliability and build quality. LOL. I do quite like that little compact td, the one with 150bhp and 250ft lb of torque, and of course 330D/M3/330 CI.
Musicman 0 Posted September 8, 2005 i like the allegro comment - i would use something along those lines and say, "You'd obviously feel more comfortable if I bought something like and allegro but that would still be more original than your beemer and still make it look s**t!!!! I know the very car you want. Too bad it's in Malta :D

MNuTz 0 Posted September 8, 2005 what you need to do is invite as many forum members round to your place as possible at the same time, we can then surround him with C owners while you ask him to repeat his views on the car :D

samm_cvr6 0 Posted September 8, 2005 ah sod it, why dont you just do a massive turd on the roof of his car! LOL, then grafiti down the side, "I'm so deluded I actually think I'm cool and think my cars amazing!"
veeDuB_Rado 0 Posted September 8, 2005 joelgti: im 18 years old and im paying like 2.6k to insure my corrado and people constantly take the piss for it (well not so much now) they say i could probably get an escort rs for that money, why the FUC* would i want one of them, even one suggested a cavalier SRI!!!!! to me its not about the money whatsoever, its the car,how rare they are and how they get looks over many other cars. my mates were unsure when the previous owner had my rado i now own, but when i got it and took them out of times, one even stated that he wants to get one and now all of them LOVE the car,i love the way some of them say "i bet you love it when peeps look at your car" and hell yes i do! your neighbour is jelous cos bmw owners think theyre the poshest and smartest..pffft now somebody 11 years younger has something they will never have oops sorry to ramble on!!! samm_cvr6 0 Posted September 8, 2005 we all like our cars for different reaons, personally, I dont actually like the attention, as funny as it sounds, I like that it is fast and comftable really. £2.6k, thats steep but as long as you enjoy it, moneys there to be spent right!
Nick 0 Posted September 8, 2005 2.6k! wow! That is crazy IMO, but each to their own. You can certainly say that not alot of people your age have one! I dont like the attention i get, i dont know what do do! lol. Its been a bit of a step up, from a standard 106 quiksilver to a C. lol. As for your neighbour... Id park it in as inconvenient a place for your neighbour as possible. Like right across his drive. But the C meet outside your house sounds like a good option too! 2cc 0 Posted September 8, 2005 Ha ha, cheap BMW driver looks down on a C, what a loser. He's just upset that our cars were prouced by a proper designer with exquisite taste. We could always email his comments to the great man himself, if we're lucky he might send the boys out to burn down the BM factory.
Tempest 0 Posted September 8, 2005 Lining up his street with Rados? Yup, I'd be up for that. It's only been 3 days since I came back from the Karmann meet, and I'm already missing the heaven on earth feeling of that meet, where you were only amongst other Rado andf Rocco fanatics, you could only see Rados and Roccos. Then the reality after that set in again, when everyday life hit me again: My gosh, what crap do the majority of people actually drive, insane! Phil K 0 Posted September 8, 2005 Put a for sale sign in your window for a few days reading... "FOR SALE Old heap of VW junk 4 wheels doors engine make me an offer Reason for sale: To**er next door pointed out how inferior this car is compared to his BMW 316 and am now searching for one of those uber cool 1 series..." He's bound to read it then realise your ripping it out of him
joelgti 0 Posted September 8, 2005 Veedub_Rado, insurance is a bit of a killer at this age I pay about £1500 but to be honest you'd pay around 1000 for a shopping trolley. Defo worth the extra to be in something nicer IMO. I live near Southampton for those asking by the way - the corrados in the street idea would go down a treat LOL
veeDuB_Rado 0 Posted September 8, 2005 lol i would LOVE to have all the rado's up the street. is there an upcoming event soon near southampton? cos then would be a kool time to do it :) joelgti: i agree i wasnt planning on getting a "first car" i thought, right im getting me a rado!! bristolbaron 10 Posted September 9, 2005 Tell him he's a poor excuse for a sales rep and if perhaps he spent more time on selling white goods or whatever and less time bad mouthing the car his teenage neighbour drives, he may just make his year end target and stand a chance of earning himself a new passat TDi or at least another beemer with a bigger engine. Then breathe.
Rob_B 0 Posted September 10, 2005 i met someone who thought his L reg 328i BM was the best car in the world..... he asked my mate about respraying the bonnest of the BM and when asked how good a job he wanted (bodyshop or shed type job), he said "its a 328 BMW, of course i want a perfect job" at this point i wanted to knock him to the ground and set fire to his car, but being a 328 im sure it is fire proof aswell!! complete w@nker
GIXXERUK 0 Posted September 10, 2005 narrow streets breed narrow minds , i hate blinkered people , you will notice that a lot of people on here obviously love their cars but they arent blind to how good other cars are
rado-steve 0 Posted September 11, 2005 Just stick a Banana up his exhaust! What a To55er! I'd sell my gran to have a Rado at 19! I had to make do with a MK2 GTI, still not bad for a 19yo I spose!
