Yea, true, I was just being reserved, come to think of it, I would think a new Astra hatch is probably as good as a 316! LOL, and I would defo prefer a Honda, prob even a Toyota or Nissan if you are looking at reliability and build quality. LOL.

I do quite like that little compact td, the one with 150bhp and 250ft lb of torque, and of course 330D/M3/330 CI. :lol:

i like the allegro comment - i would use something along those lines and say, "You'd obviously feel more comfortable if I bought something like and allegro but that would still be more original than your beemer and still make it look s**t!!!!

my mates were unsure when the previous owner had my rado i now own, but when i got it and took them out of times,one even stated that he wants to get one and now all of them LOVE the car,i love the way some of them say "i bet you love it when peeps look at your car" and hell yes i do!

we all like our cars for different reaons, personally, I dont actually like the attention, as funny as it sounds, I like that it is fast and comftable really. £2.6k, thats steep but as long as you enjoy it, moneys there to be spent right!

2.6k! wow! That is crazy IMO, but each to their own. You can certainly say that not alot of people your age have one! I dont like the attention i get, i dont know what do do! lol. Its been a bit of a step up, from a standard 106 quiksilver to a C. lol. As for your neighbour... Id park it in as inconvenient a place for your neighbour as possible. Like right across his drive. But the C meet outside your house sounds like a good option too!

Lining up his street with Rados? Yup, I'd be up for that. It's only been 3 days since I came back from the Karmann meet, and I'm already missing the heaven on earth feeling of that meet, where you were only amongst other Rado andf Rocco fanatics, you could only see Rados and Roccos. Then the reality after that set in again, when everyday life hit me again: My gosh, what crap do the majority of people actually drive, insane!

Veedub_Rado, insurance is a bit of a killer at this age I pay about £1500

but to be honest you'd pay around 1000 for a shopping trolley. Defo worth the extra to be in something nicer IMO. I live near Southampton for those asking by the way - the corrados in the street idea would go down a treat LOL

Tell him he's a poor excuse for a sales rep and if perhaps he spent more time on selling white goods or whatever and less time bad mouthing the car his teenage neighbour drives, he may just make his year end target and stand a chance of earning himself a new passat TDi or at least another beemer with a bigger engine.

i met someone who thought his L reg 328i BM was the best car in the world.....

he asked my mate about respraying the bonnest of the BM and when asked how good a job he wanted (bodyshop or shed type job), he said "its a 328 BMW, of course i want a perfect job"

at this point i wanted to knock him to the ground and set fire to his car, but being a 328 im sure it is fire proof aswell!!
