How much is a Storm worth

I have been looking for a sub 50000 mile standard Storm . Prices vary from £12000 for a 25000 miler , £7500 for a 45000 miler , £8995 for a 46000 miler with no Storm badge. Are prices dropping - they seem to be for high mileage non Storm cars. Any thoughts

It's worth what you're willing to pay ..

 

If you ask an insurance company it's worth 10-15% more than a Golf VR6 of the same age, i.e. £4000.

 

In the real world people are asking for more than that, and getting it.

Storm prices always seem to vary wildly. Bit silly for some different wheels and different colour interior and paint. Oh, and a Storm badge which owners are too scared to fit because they get nicked all the time. I suppose you pay for exclusivity! There were Storms on Autotrader for nearly £13K when I bought my G60. :shock:

A year ago i'd have said for the exclusivity up to £10k would be okay for something with very low miles. Now i wouldnt pay more than £6k for any standard storm. There are other better C's for the money.

Well just this week I bid 4k for a 99k Storm and lost it by £100

bottom line is they are getting older.

But these 2 were Green and not blue if it makes any differance.

Yes it does - green ones are less exclusive - there were plenty of standard VRs that were identical. The blue was a Storm-only colour.
