Corrado office chair

Recommended Posts

Yes I know im sad

I haven’t seen this done before although I sure it has anyway I picked up a passenger side seat from my local scrap yard last week and this weekend I spent a few hours converting it in to an office chair, this was my first attempt at any thing like this and im quite pleased with the outcome, just need a few pieces of trim to finish it

so what do you think??

All for need to do now is send it off for leather trim!

Thought I was too much of an experiment to risk destroying a nice leather seat

I’ve tried to remove as much unneeded metal work as possible and its really very stable no problems with the base lifting

ill post up some more pics soon as i can

Now that's class!

I reckon that's an affordable way back into (partial) Corrado ownership.

Anyone going to take it one step further and slam the seat on a set of 5 caster-bearing 18" BBS? :)

That was quick

First I got rid of the seat belt bracket and seat adjustment lever then cut away the two ‘arms’ as marked up on your pic, I kept the center piece just trimmed at a 45º angle at the front so it’s no longer visible

chimo has a Recaro from a Limited Jetta as a computer chair - it's uber comfortable.

I think he just bolted the seat to a bit of chipboard then bolted that to the old chair base tho, so not quite as advanced engineering as this 8)
