There are answers already mate. :D

oil and water temp, and if you're feeling fancy EGT. In fact EGT would probably be a must.

Make? There's plenty to choose from. Greddy, HKS, Sard, Defi....depend what you want to pay, doesn't it

Did the post on SXOC help mate?

yeah, i'll read up on the exhaust gas temperature and see how important it is. Water temp guage is std equipment. Basically I need 2 guages (one of which is boost) other undecided hence this post. The air-fuel is lumination and is a series of ten or so LEDs in a line.

oil pressure is a MUST for any tuned engine... can potentially save you thousands of pounds if something bad happens by simply letting you know there's something not quite right that little bit earlier...

EGT temp's all good and well if you're running a SERIOUS turbo, but otherwise is a little bit of a gimmick, unless you've got all the turbo electronic/computer based control stuff going in too...

poking out of a hole in the bonnet like the auzzy subaru tuners seem to love doing? mounted on the steering wheel? erm... oh i dunno... grafted onto the inside of one of those old virtual reality headsets which has live images from a bumper mounted camera beamed into your eyes for you to wear while driving? :?

ive got defi clocks and EGT for my new project. hlf agree with henny in that you dont need egt for much less than a custom turbo job. egt handy for taming the timing on a map to an extent.

I once saw a car with little aux gauges on each side of the orig clocks, Looked very OE 8)

on the right lines, your thinking of sasha's car. That had a boost guage in the rev counter i think.

When I can be arsed, my boost guage will be going in the glove box using a flocked panel 8). Already got the voltage and oil pressure VDO panel, which I constantly look at. Charger boost is very consistent, so it'll only be there for dyno work, hence being behind the glove box lid and it won't give the game away to prying eyes either. As for a/f, I can use a SECS monitor now that I'm OBD2 to monitor knock, Air mass, A/F etc ;-)
