Don't BMW do this? Seems like a good ideal taking great ideas from fellow German manufacturers if you ask me! Looks like a great idea! :)

BMWs have always had a nifty little tool kit strapped to the bootlid but with all the Bimmers I've owned, the tool kits were always mint and unused.....reliable cars in general.

Having said that, I've never needed the hazard triangle with the Rado either....or the FA kit that's 11 years past it's sell by date :-)

My theory is have breakdown cover that includes relay.

Then you don't bugger something up terminally by bodging it.

I still have the original FA in mine too and TBH I'm not bothered. If I'm in an accident that's serious enough for me to bleed, I suspect I'm going to need more than a small bandage and sticky tape to put things right...

I had to use the warning triangle on my last C, when I spun from the outside lane of the M42 (aquaplaned) across all 3 lanes, up the bank (around a post  ) and ended up in the gravel facing the wrong way.

It was dark and I put the triangle out. The whole motorway got closed off for me to turn around. That was one of the scariest things ever :shocked!: :shocked!: :shocked!: :shocked!: :shocked!:

Only scuffed a wheel and bumper though 8)

I was actually slowed down to about 60, it was one of those nights where it would p*ss down in patches so you couldnt see more than about 10 metres in front. Was plodding along when appeared a massive puddle, and away we go.

Just after I got out of the car on the hard shoulder, a brand new beemer hit the same puddle, and the proceeded to scrape his entire drivers side down the central reservation!!

People were still flying past though, and there were loads of stones on the road from the beemer too.

Fair do's to a lorry driver though who stopped and pulled me out of the small ditch of stones in order for me to be able to turn around.
