WHO GIVES HEAD (s a good re-build)????

Anyone know of anyone (preferably down south) who rebuilds vr6 heads??

Not sure tbh. I was quoted the following though:

 

"We do a full package job for the Corrado VR6, this consists of all timing chain and tensioners replaced, new clutch, full cylinder head overhaul, cam followers,

gaskets and fluids etc.. for £1450 inc vat. If you want to bring the car up for a inspection first then no problem, just give me a call."

 

Hopefully looking to have this done in a couple of months

double-6s, give vince a call or email him , i seem to remember £500 for a head rebuild but i could be wrong and i'm not sure if that inc removal and refit

aye thats what i thought , i dont recall anyone just giving vince their head so it would be tough to get a price for that on here

The Phirm in Farnborough are supposed to be very good generally and nice guys. I'm not sure if they do VR head rebuilds, but could be worth giving them a call and see what they say.

double-6s, PM stanbates. The head off his dead Vr had just been overhauled. I am pretty sure it's available. No idea of the price.

Cylinder Head Engineering in Fareham (Near Portsmouth), very knowledgeable chaps, their business IS cylinder heads. I've had two VR6 heads rebuilt there and I'm fairly sure NIGE16V on here had a 16V head done there too. Top quality work, fast as you like and unbelievably cheap. You're talking £150ish if no parts are required, next day kind of service. I paid sub £500 for one that had 12 new valves and tappets (genuine stuff), chemical clean and resurfaced face.

You rang??? ;) I have a fully rebuilt head from my dead engine with about 3000 miles on it mate, including cranks etc. Was gonna put it on fleabay but if someone wants it from here then I'll sell it.
