Unfortunately i had a terrible accident on the highway which i´m not guilty of all.

My 1990 Graphitte Grey Metallic Corrado G60, God it was so beautiful...

It´s now tottaled!

And the other driver keeps claming that his not guilty.

This case is now on the insurance company, and in a few days i´ll know something about it...

Anyone who understands about mechanic will absolutly say that the car has no repair.

Even the insurance company expert said the same, so being like this, all that i can get from this issue is some money to refund me.

So i decided to go for another Corrado, after some days of search, and many cars seen, i found this awesome Flash Red Jet.

To be honest, at the first look i didn´t like his colour that much.

Now i´m getting used to it, but as there is a slight damage in the front, and the car has a crappy painting job, i would like to paint it.

But on the other hand, i like to keep cars stock.

So the question is...

Should i paint it in black brilliant metallic or keep his original colour?

The black colour would be nice to get some beige recaros on it later...

Should i take the body kit of aswell?

I´m confused and open for any nice opinions.

Meanwhile i´m posting some actual pictures.

Hey Miguel - where's the pics? :)

If I was you mate, i'd paint the Jet the original colour if the paintwork is bad- and take off the bodykit :thumbleft:

As the Jet was a limited edition I think it's best to keep them in their original form.

Shame to hear about your right off, at least there was no injuries!

EDOT-- Now I see the pics - the car looks really nice mate :thumbleft:

Hey Walsey!

I was just resizing them to post here.

What a timing! LOL

Yeah, i´m with you!

I think i´m going to keep his original colour and get rid of the body kit.

Also some nice rims!

Opinions wanted please! :)

neat car. a friend of mine have the same car. Lovely interior, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Awesome mileage too, by the way! sub 100k cars are deffo getting rarer by the day these days.

Thanks for the opinion mate!

I´m really getting decided to keep the flash red colour.

Take off the body kit and put some door handles.

I like stock Corrados.

They are beautiful! :)

hello kongo127, you got yourself a reasonably straight car by the looks of it, i personally would get rid of the bodykit and get some doors with handles on, i`d imagine someone would buy your doors off you without any problem and i`d stay with the red, nice to see your in one piece after your little spill on the highway

Thanks for all the opinions guys! :)

Being honest, i´´m not happy with this car... Or maybe i´m just not used to it?

The Flash Red isn´t my style for sure.

Firstly when i saw a red Corrado for the first time i loved it.

But now that i own one... I don´t.

There are not many Corrados in Portugal.

So i don´t have a good chance to go for another one...

The car really needs a respray!

I was wondering if a colour change job will go ok?

I wouldn´t like to see red spots coming over the years behind the new colour... ( brilliant black metallic or graphite grey ).

Will this happen?

I also don´t like the interiors in red, not even the lack of armrest it the rear, they make it seem like a tuned car and that´s not my idea.

This car is rare, it´s a JET ( i wonder why they call this, it´s slower, maybe because of it´s shorter gearbox? ).

I assume it´s considered a crime doing this?

You must be thinking why i bought this car... LOL

Well i can tell you!

A friend of mine has imported it from Germany in tip top shape!

He got married and needed a family car ( as he said ).

I bought it very very cheap from him! :)

What do you think?

I´m open to any project! :)

Looks pretty sweet and it's a rare interior I think it needs door handles to though just to brake it up a bit. Nice milage too !!!

I'd restore it to former glory (yes door handles too  ) and keep the colour!

Has the pannel behind the door been reshaped to allow you to open the doors? Looks like there's a gap that shouldn't be there :?

Sorry to hear about your crash kongo127, hope youre all ok.

It looks like a nice car youve got your hands on, even if not all to your taste!

Being a rare model, i think it would be a shame to modify it (even tho the other owner clearly has!)

I see you with two options:

1) Restore this car to its original beautiful stock self. Perhaps respray in original colour?

Or

2)Sell this one as a 'rare model' and buy another which you would be happy modifing, or import one (i have no idea what this would cost! lol)

Personally, id prefer to mod something that wasnt quite as rare. If you did restore this one, in 20 years time, there might only be 1 left in the world....
