There's a P plate Storm at Stealth at the moment!

Apparently it was reregisted after removal of a private plate and DVLA put it on a P.

The only official P's will be ones that sat in the import pound unregistered for a while, but none were actually produced for sale in 1996.

its normally the write-offs that have been put back on the road............that have an undisclosable previous identity......some can be done to factory standards and others can be pretty ropey although they have to get inspected before getting the Q plate..........a lot of kit cars are Q-plates too

Class - hadnt paid attention but just looked at the front page of my docs and

firstly delivery date is 20/03/96 :)

and secondly - it was delivered to Edinburgh.

If i had known i would have taken it back for its bday !

Looks like its always been a Scottish car ( Glasgow, Aberdeen, Montrose, Inverness ) but wierdly i bought it from Manchester.

No wonder hes been so good to me - i brought him home !

M reg here, delivery date 02/01/95 to the Farnham dealer.

Have to admit have never really looked too closely at the early life on my C, but interestingly its 1st service was done by VW in Rintein (Germany) Hopefully it managed to see any Autobahn while it was there.

Delivered March 1996, chassis ends 3998, am I right in saying it is then the 45th last produced Corrado from the factory?!?!

I don't know what the last number was, ETKA says..

31/05/95 50-S-003773

30/06/95 50-S-004043

But that isn't concievably the last number. I did try to find out a little while a go, but got bored.

Mine is 3932

I don't think the VIN numbers a sequential though... that's one of the reasons Storms are so difficult to confirm.

Anyway, mine is 2284 and first registered on 28/05/96

You are correct in that assumption as the Vin Nos were issued sequentially. The last car produced (50SK004043) is the Storm that is now kept at the VW museum in Wolfsburg, Germany.

The 500 Storms were randomly produced in the final run of 1300 cars and this is why the VINs do not run sequentially.

The final Storm was a special order from VW to Karman to ensure it was the last car produced.
