selbekk 0 Posted June 5, 2006 Hi, I've always loved the RC's, but I haven't seen a picture with them on the corrado (or I've forgot how it looked ;) ). Could anyone please post up a nice pic of their corrado with these rims? And what is the widest rim I could get away with? Thanks :)

selbekk 0 Posted June 5, 2006 Wow, thanks for all the nice responses! They sure look nice, but there are so many different options when it comes to wheels, it's no easy choice no matter how much info you get :D I guess, when it comes down to it, the choice would be between RCs, the more classic three-split RSs (I think that's what they're called anyways, the ones with a lot of spokes and details) or Porsche rims (all of them, really). Choices, oh choices. Very hard, especially when you can't afford new rims in the first place :D By the way, what width would I need to make 17s fit, and what tyre-dimensions? Again, thanks for all the help so far :)

Trig 0 Posted June 5, 2006 They do look seriously good on a rado, as do the RX's.
W3RKD 0 Posted June 5, 2006 i think its a tough choice between the rc's and the rx's on the rado's both look fantastic.
Jim 2 Posted June 5, 2006 BBS RKII's on the Corrado always looked amazing too.. suit it down to the ground!

Trig 0 Posted June 5, 2006 kev's sig pic has RX's.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 5, 2006 Aye, my personal favourite to date of the rims I've used. You really can't go wrong with BBS wheels, beautifully finished, light weight for their size, very tough and hold their value. It's just a shame when you stick feckin great brake calipers on and you can no longer use them :-(
_leon_ 0 Posted June 5, 2006 @kevHaywire arent you running wilwood 4 pots? if so - how have you found them?
W3RKD 0 Posted June 5, 2006 kev - we have just got a set of AP's behind a set of lm's
Bally 0 Posted June 5, 2006 I have both a set RC's & RX's...
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 5, 2006 Leon, No mate, I'm using AP racing 4 pots. I did a lot of research into the different kits before taking the plunge and for what I needed, the APs where the kiddies. The Wilwood dynalites were what I had my eye on initially as they're only 2lbs per caliper, but they didn't do a bolt-on kit as such, lots of fiddling about piecing together rotors, bells, carriers and what not, whereas the AP kit was designed for the VR6 from the start, including the leading and trailing piston diameters as to not upset the Master Cylinder effort. I do know that Wilwood are highly regarded though. I just preferred the "get it all in a box" approach. The APs are stunning, I can see why they have such a good reputation in racing circles. Seriously powerful brakes, even with relatively modest 305x28mm discs.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 5, 2006 kev - we have just got a set of AP's behind a set of lm's  Stop it You know how much I love LMs!!! Why can't they do them in 5 stud??! Did you have fun with the ball joint clearance? Any spacers involved? Are they CP5200 calipers?

_leon_ 0 Posted July 7, 2006 It's just a shame when you stick feckin great brake calipers on and you can no longer use them :-( are you talking about smaller than 17"s?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted July 7, 2006 It's the caliper to spoke clearance that's the problem, the RXs/RCs don't have enough clearance for the calipers I'm using without sticking out past the arches, which I don't like, and that applies to 17s and 16s.
