_Monkey 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Lovely mate. Prefer them to the new ones too! A friend of mine has one, he put the Miltek system on it with an AMD remap and then went on to do about 8.5 min round the ring!!! They are such a tool!
mtc R32 0 Posted August 20, 2006 This one was fully loaded apart from the Glass sunroof!!! I don't care what anyone says, This car is VW at its best... I think it's much nicer than the knew one... When i purchased it, it was a debate between the S3 or the R32... IMO the R32 kicks the ass of the S3 all day long, The engine is so snappy and the sound of it thoughout is awesome!!!! I ended up selling it as I was travelling serious miles and sold it with 45k on the clock... Actualy P/X'd it with some chap for a Golf Anni Tdi, good car too.... mainly for the economy and looks good. Petrol was a killer in the "R" but worth every penny :)
jedi-knight83 0 Posted August 20, 2006 IMO the R32 kicks the ass of the S3 all day long, i have an S3 that disagrees ;)
mtc R32 0 Posted August 20, 2006 IMO the R32 kicks the ass of the S3 all day long, i have an S3 that disagrees ;) I just wasn't impressed with the S3... Don't get me wrong!!! The interior of an S3 is awesome and styling along with build quality, but i feel it was greatly let down by them not shoving the 3.2 init.... Ok I know they do now!! but that shape should of had it which would have finished it off nicely....
double-6s 0 Posted August 20, 2006 I'm with you on that mate. The S3 is a classy car but definately deserved the extra cyclinders from the start.
mtc R32 0 Posted August 20, 2006 When I reved the R32... it used to scare me!!!... And when its underload... Fook me what a tune!!!!
double-6s 0 Posted August 20, 2006 You shouldn't admit to things like that in public mate! It 'excites' you is what you meant surely ;)
PhatVR6 0 Posted August 20, 2006 awesome bit of kit, but not worth the money. snap one up when they're about £8K and you've got a bargain.
Andy665 0 Posted August 20, 2006 While before they come down to £8k, and by then they'll have been through a few owners and many will be ropey - not cheap but you get what you pay for - that and the new Golf GTi are the only desirable cars that they've made since the Corrado
mtc R32 0 Posted August 20, 2006 I think they are worth their money... Your getting a top notch car really with awesome looks and performance.... Its the same kettle of fish with the S3's and this is only a 4cylinder engine with a massive turbo.... although both cars are 4wheel drive.. I love the R32's.... I just couldn't afford to keep toping it up with fuel!!!!
Mave 0 Posted August 20, 2006 I'm sure some rado owners on here have said they've races an r32, and the r32 beat it, but not by much :? 225bhp isn't enough imo, still. they look great
PhatVR6 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Cheapest one I've seen was £13K. I built my own for £7000.
chris CORRADO 0 Posted August 20, 2006 i get 4.3 mpg in my ibiza! so 12mpg in the R32 would b a dream
PhatVR6 0 Posted August 20, 2006 they have 240BHP and they'll do 36mpg on a steady run.
bcstudent 0 Posted August 20, 2006 4.3mpg?! I'd be looking for a hole in the fuel tank chap.
dalevr6 0 Posted August 20, 2006 mtc r32, gorgeous looking car there, very tempted with an r32 as my next car.had my vr6 for 5 years now and it may be time for a change, is there a big diff in power with the r32 over a vr6. only ive never been in a r32 so have no idea what they are like. do you prefer the r32 to drive over a vr6? mtc R32 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Words don't describe the car as a complete package.... Its everything you'd expect a VR6 to be if it was released today and so much more... I can only advse you go and tyre kick one from a local dealer.... I'm sure you'll certainly sign on the dotted line when you return...
