Volksdevil gets my thumbs up

Recommended Posts

After Neil posting his Free* Glass-specific microfibre cloth ad on the Forum a week or 2 back...........and me being the only "jock" who noticed it and replied within seconds ..........well anyway part of the Free* deal was that I should give it a wee write-up

anyway here goes

the Microfibre cloth arrived within a couple of days from me "ordering" it,it also was in a handy re-sealable plastic pouch.....a nice touch as it means once finished you can put it back in and not lose or get it dirty again after washing it

I used it initially on one side of my car's glass(as in driver.side) with some household glass cleaner..........I also at the same time used my normal yellow duster affair on the pass.side so that I could compare how they both felt to use and how easy they cleaned the glass.........I must admit I didn't think there would be much of a difference but was pleasently surprised to find that the microfibre really "bit" into the glass and made the whole affair effortless and of course didn't leave any fibres when used, while the usual yellow duster I use felt like it dragged across the glass in comparison and of course always seems to leave some fibres behind.so in other words the microfibre cloth is a lot more easier and less hassle to use and once washed still looks like new...whereas the yellow dusters although a lot cheaper don't seem to wash as easily and are harder to work with

I use a lot of microfibre cloths after discovering them a few years ago.

Price was a rip off then compared with now - they are everywhere and really cheap.

Ditch all yellow dusters now - they are cr@p and always have been for windows.

Was well pleased with the result of both the microfibre cloths from volksdevil (polishing and drying i think) the drying cloth was dead easy to use and is leagues better than a leather shammy!

Thank again neil

No worries m8,glad you are happy with them :D

With the drying towels, waft over the whole car and wring it out as you go.And then when you go back over each panel you can safely buff the paint to a totally streak free finish. 8)

Hey Neil,

nice site you've got there (and nice G60!). just wondering about the diff products you have for sale - is Mer or Meguiars better? what would you recommend as a good basic starter kit for someone who can't afford everything at once but who wants to make her C even more beautiful?!

also the valeters where I work use cherry bomb - what do you think of it? are the shampoos you sell better? sorry to pester you with so many qs - I do want to spend some money but don't want to regret my product choice! def gonna get some microfibre cloths though. sooooo fed up with bits of yellow duster/rubbish chamois everywhere!

Thanks

ps. I have joined your forum too and found the free sticker thing before I even knew about it. Just got to work out how to enter the code lol...

Just wanted to say thanks!! All the stuff I orderd turned up today. Hoping that the weekend is good so that I can get out and give the old girl a bath....

just wondering  With the wash mitt, what's the difference between the sides? I can clearly see that one is furry and one isn't, but which side do you use for what?

Cheers!

Good stuff :D

The wash mitt has a bug remover on one side (the stockinette looking side 8) ) It is manufactured to be safe for use on the body, but personally i just use it on the front screen.

Neil. :)

:D

Also...keep the wash mitt 'loaded' with shampoo/water rather than squeezing it out,it will tend to float across the paint really nicely then.

Just received a box full of goodies from Riley, today and would like to give another thumbs up for the service, products and most of all the advice that Neil was only to pleased to give (even tho he does like to ramble on a bit  ).

I was really suprised at the size of the tub of Carnuba paste, it will last a lifetime.... looks smaller in the pics. Also the microfibre cloths seem decent quality too, so i just need to pray for a dry weeekend to try all the other products out and get my car gleaming.

Cheers Neil :D
