Light weight pulley with hamonizer

Recommended Posts

unlike others, incluidng the one I have on my C, it has an harmonic balancer. I say go for it. It's not much of a power adder, but every kilo counts.

LOL! You have an obsession with chopped and shaped Pork Mr Wales :-)

Stock pullies are heavy because they absorb con rod harmonics and also add a secondary flywheel affect, smoothing out any slight imbalance.

Everyone that uses one will say "Hasn't happened to me....." so it's up to you mate. I personally can't see the need, I think the cash is better spent on generating more power, rather than freeing off a couple of hp the engine already had to begin with.

Totally agree with Kev here. Where this sort of stuff is really good is when you do a complete engine rebuild and get everything dynamically balanced - no need for the extra weight of a standard pulley then as the vibration is gone.
