jonrb 0 Posted January 7, 2007 I'm considering moving from the standard 15" VR6 Speedlines to a 16" wheel but want them to look as close as possible to the originals, just 16" Does anyone have any suggestions? (Note to Repost Police: I did try a search but didn't turn up anything that specifically answered my question)
yeti 0 Posted January 7, 2007 Well you could always try Compomotive MO's in a 16 they're a relitively light and i think you can get them in a 16x7 (same size as the bbs rxII's on mine) which fit very well and dont protrude the arch, ideal if your going for a fairly standard look! vr6storm 0 Posted January 7, 2007 BBS RX's always look good on a C...........looks like a factory fitment too
Supercharged 2 Posted January 8, 2007 16" Speedlines would be the obvious choice...
jonrb 0 Posted January 8, 2007 16" Speedlines would be the obvious choice... I thought that the classic 5-spoke Speedline (2110 I think it is) is not available in a 5 stud pattern suitable for the VR6?
NickVR6 0 Posted January 8, 2007 You can get 5 spoke 16s, from the vento cup cars. They are little different in weight from the 15s and are 7.5x16 et 35. I rate them, but they are rare

Son of a Beesting 0 Posted January 8, 2007 NickVR6, They look the dogs! I wish had the money to get these, pretty much perfect! I also really like the comp MO's.

Stan 24v 0 Posted January 19, 2007 http://www.carlislewheelandtyre.co.uk/speedline.html 4 stud though by the look of it.
jonrb 0 Posted January 19, 2007 Well you could always try Compomotive MO's in a 16 I missed this post originally. The trouble is that I've seen the Compomotive MO's in 17's on another owner's car and, well, I just don't like the way the spokes seem to bulge outwards. I know it sound a bit silly, but there is just something about them I just don't like. :( All I really want are the original Speedlines just in 16" not 15", or the next best thing obviously. Edit: Edited for spelling
JoeNose 0 Posted January 20, 2007 These 16" Speedline Comp 2 's were the next best thing for me...

Jim 2 Posted January 20, 2007 http://www.carlislewheelandtyre.co.uk/speedline.html 4 stud though by the look of it. Speedline will cast wheels in whatever fitments needed really. I know the company I bought a set of Speedline Comp2's in bought 5 sets of them in 5 stud 5x100 fitment from Speedline in Italy directly without too many problems! Group buy for all you VR boys perhaps? ;)

Peakz 0 Posted January 20, 2007 Speedline Comp 2's look just like the BBS Solitudes, very sexy on that black Rado. Incidently those that like the Speedline's as fitted to the Vento VR (NickVR6), OZ made a virtually identical wheel but I don't know the name of the wheel. Peakz 0 Posted January 20, 2007 Jim, thou tempt thy forum member with much naughtiness! How much would a set of 5x100 Speedy Comp2's cost then . . . ?
