Boring out 2.8 V6 engine...

Can anyone recommend a company, pref in the Southern half of the country, who have the facility to bore out a 2.8 V6 to a 2.9? have heard that a cetain tool is needed and cannot seem to find a compnay that can do it - ideas on a postcard please... :)

Try Owslebury crankshafts in Winchester. They're a very reputable company that specialises in engines and rebuilds.

I'll get a price off my step-dad as he runs a gundrilling and honing business. Do you have the 2.9 pistons, as they like to match a bore to a piston.

I have some 2.9 pistons, one will need replacing though, also con rods and crank. I even have a 2.9 block which needs reboring ;)

Stan, I wish i could say it were something exciting that I was planning but its not sadly - its for a customer in work (started working for a tuning company) and I need to organise it - will be cool when its done though...!

 

However - I do have plans for my next 'rado.... mwahahahahahaha!!!
