pete_griff 0 Posted January 9, 2009 and yes pete i am a tart, did you not realise that when we met well i guess so, but i didn't realise to what extent! - exactly how many sets of seats/interiors do you have now?! (and lets not mention the number of sets of alloys etc etc!) love it :D - we are all slaves to the VW money-pit!
KADVR6 0 Posted January 9, 2009 not heard anything from stealth today but i'm not gonna hassle them one bit, as Vince did say that they had loads on at the moment, and he does have a few things to do to mine before he can get it on the rollers. But hey ho, no news is good news!! and as some of you may of seen on ed38 i have just bought some scirroco seats, just in case i failed to mention it earlier  heres some pics of the actual seats, as i'm aware i'm the first person to actually buy some new scirroco seats EVER???? well heres some pics. i cant bloody wait to get them fitted. karl

Slimg60 0 Posted January 9, 2009 Nice purchase, those seats are so comfy 8)
junkie 0 Posted January 9, 2009 They are comfy seats, or at least were when i sat in a Scirocco, thinking should i buy 1. Congratulations on your world 1st achievement, you must feel soooo special, not in the Toad way either. So by my reckoning your parts list goes to the following as 1st refusals. Junkie - 1 set of special front seats. Pianowire - 1 set of special wheels. If everybody could copy and paste and add what you would like from the rents garage. Thank you
VAG-hag 0 Posted January 10, 2009 Those seats are comfy & will no doubt look great in the C - esp the rear bench. Fair play to the VW bloke having good taste & putting fabric forward for a good cause!! 8) ive heard of wheel whores but interior whores?? :? Were the seats from a smashed 'rocco Karl?
KADVR6 0 Posted January 10, 2009 the seats were taken out of a brand new rocco with only just 100 miles on the clock as the car is going to be used in some form of motorsport, so its being fitted with just a single race seat.

KADVR6 0 Posted February 15, 2009 update time, i went to stealth yesterday to meet Pete from Dubpower, as the reason my car is not on the road is down to the Dupower 6 branch manifold having a big leak at some weld points :( But Pete has been an absolute legend with this problem, he is paying for all of Vinces time, and any gaskets etc etc that they have had to get in, just very happy to report that there is still some genunie nice people out there who are making parts for our cars, thanks Pete :notworthy: also i would like to say that i'm also very glad that i took the car to Stealth, i'm sure that some other garages would have just slapped some more gaskets on, and maybe just bodged it to get it out the door, so i'm very gratefull to Vince for doing this properly :notworthy: so hopefully the car will be on the rollers again next week for the last time. Philuk 0 Posted February 15, 2009 good to kno that there are still decent people out there willing to help when its a problem with there product rather than just fobb you off or to even jsut replace the broken part but to replace all gaskets that are needed and pay for the time! what a legend! bet you cant wait to get it back now!! KADVR6 0 Posted March 13, 2009 well yeh Rob i'm STILL waiting for the car to come back from Stealth, Pete at Dubpower dropped the new manifold off on the 14th of Feb and they have not been able to get it on the rollers yet!!! so just waiting for a phone call really. this bloody R32 conversion has taken as long as it takes to have a child. CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted March 13, 2009 It will all come together nicley when the warmer weather comes along bud, hang in there. :)
junkie 0 Posted March 15, 2009 this bloody R32 conversion has taken as long as it takes to have a child. Well yea it will do, creating a R32 Corrado is obviously alot more complex than creating a child, every child has a child nowadays, whilst you need specialist stuff to create the 32 beast. KADVR6 0 Posted April 17, 2009 well i got the car back from stealth today, and after over 3 months nothings happened apart from the ecu having to go away and get repaired after 6 of the coil drivers have been blown :( i'm not overly happy with stealth as the ecu was working when it went there, but it had a missfire somewhere, but i thought that was an advantage of standalone ecu's that you could map them out?? or am i wrong?? when it went into stealth it was wired as batched injection (using 3 coildrivers) vince changed it to sequintal injection (using 6 coildrivers) and 6 have blown?? but theres no point in blaming vince as nobody reckons he can do no wrong?? i really cant be arsed with anymore of this r32 conversion as its just causing sooo many arguments in the house at the moment and i had the corrado so i can enjoy driving it, not so i have rows with the missus :( so i have sold the entire r32 set up and just going back to the trusty 12v, i will be getting that turbo'd later in the year so not all is lost, just wished i had done that in the first place instead of going all misty eyed at the r32 conversion :( karl :(
