Probably about time I started one of these threads!!

 

Had the car over a year now and have put this off for ages. Anyway here goes... enjoy!

Had it for a couple of years now and mods include...

 

New bottom end & rebuilt top end.

268 Schrick Cams, VW VSR and Stealth remap.

Raceland 6 Branch manifold

BMC CDA

Miltek Exhaust & decat

288mm brake upgrade

Dewipered & rubstrips removed

Vibratechnic engine mounts all round

Red Samco hose kit

Half leather Recaros

Moonroof

16" BBS RX

 

Think thats it mostly... Sure there is stuff I've forgotten but will update as i remember!

Trying to remember the order of the mods I did is proving quite tricky!

 

Pretty sure I tried BBS Solitudes next though...

Hi mate Im having 263 cams and VSR fitted at Stealth next week. What power and torque figures did your motor make?

Hey Matt/Leonard (two names is it?)

 

I had 203bhp and 200lb ft.

 

Was a bit disappointed with the bhp figure but I'm not really a numbers man and destroying a 350z on the way home made up for it.

 

Vince said the VSR doesn't produce as much as the Schrick (looks good though!) and he wasn't sure how much benefit the 6 branch is.

 

He did spend all day on it though, sorting a dodgy ignition lead and I needed a new Schrick controller.

 

Will post up the curve when I get a chance.

 

Let us know how you get on... I'm interested in seeing someone else graph with similar set up. Just to make sure nothing's wrong under my bonnet!

Ok nice one mate, will do.

 

Must admit I was hoping for a bit more than that circa 210lbft 215 bhp. But perhaps I have been influenced slightly by other peoples figures with 263 cams on here.

 

An extre 20lbft torque would be nice. Stop me having to change down so often.

I was the same mate.

 

Those figures don't scream at you but the improvements in the before/after maps speak for themselves. And the test drive straight after Vince and Jon had done their bit was night and day...

 

I don't really think you'd be able to feel a 7lb ft difference but guess it's nice on paper.

 

From what I hear the 263s are a big improvement on my Schrick 268s so maybe thats it?

 

You won't be disappointed though :D

extra torque is what the VR6 really needs in my opinion. can feel a bit weedy low down the rev range..as you said, you find yourself dropping gears all the time..quite fun though! :grin:
