Andy665 0 Posted November 5, 2007 Bit later than the rest of Europe but its here now, not sure if it will be available in other colours. Basically Edition 30 spec (230PS) with the new alloys and seats that have the same tread pattern as the tyres. Price £22,
bcstudent 0 Posted November 5, 2007 Is it just me, or does anyone else think that special editions aren't really all that *special* these days?
Jim 2 Posted November 5, 2007 Indeed. But then.. looking at it, it offers more than the Corrado Storm did back in the day!
G60SC_Stoney 0 Posted November 5, 2007 seats that have the same tread pattern as the tyres. so that would be black with lines in them then ? what a joke! a special edition by a tyre manufacturer should at least have something related to what the company does, maybe a better handling golf or lower or anything except differnt seats! probably doenst even have pirelli rubber on the new wheels either! sprinterVR6 0 Posted November 5, 2007 Indeed. But then.. looking at it, it offers more than the Corrado Storm did back in the day! True, but then they only made 500 Storms 8) Not sure how many 'Pirelli' cars will be rolled out. Probably 50 :D But yeah, a different seat cover??? Bit lame. Maybe a slightly diff exhaust config?? Andy665 0 Posted November 5, 2007 Apparently all will come fitted with Pirelli P-Zero's. Just also discovered that Volkswagen UK currently has no plans to import the car - not really surprising considering that they have still to sell all the Edition 30's that were available. Jim Bowen 1 Posted November 5, 2007 Indeed. But then.. looking at it, it offers more than the Corrado Storm did back in the day! then again my bro has an astra coupe edition 100 and thats more or less the same idea as a storm, alloys, leather, paint. i'd rather buy the lesser model if the engine is the same and buy my own alloys and interior
Jim Bowen 1 Posted November 5, 2007 i don't really like the seats either, there is too much plastic on modern seats, they almost like a kids seat/toy
Jay2 0 Posted November 5, 2007 Yep, 'special' just seems to mean different alloys, seats, bit of trim and thats it. All of which you could do yourself for alot cheaper than the extra pounds they stick-on the standard price. To be honest would anyone recognise it as a Pirelli Edition if it passed you in the street? :?
G60SC_Stoney 0 Posted November 5, 2007 To be honest would anyone recognise it as a Pirelli Edition if it passed you in the street? :? and if they did would they really care?? its hardly got anything exclusive about it....

Lufbramatt 0 Posted November 5, 2007 if it had 18" pirelli P-slots then it be a bit special. shame. :(
