Thanks, will try not to mince, and would appreciate your knowledge in getting old 'roof out and the new one in. :)
vwdeviant 0 Posted February 26, 2008 should take couple hours end to end, use the WIKI guide and all will be good.... Tip, if you are leaving B/C pillar plastics in place, the seatbelts make for good "levers" to keep it all out the way when removing & replacing the headlining. Just needs one of you in the middle of the car with all 4 belts in hand, wrapped round the plastics.
boost monkey 0 Posted February 28, 2008 Parts update! :sunny: climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfbits1.JPG[/attachment:2kt8vi0t] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfbits2.JPG[/attachment:2kt8vi0t] bits3.JPG[/attachment:2kt8vi0t] Not sure when I get all this put on, as I will be swapping my PAS racks over too (need to refurb 'new' one yet) and may do brakes at the same time. Still need to order gearbox mount, get the LBJs from Prodigal for casholas, and spruce up all those rolling shell items to see what is usable.

boost monkey 0 Posted March 3, 2008 Why does my burgundy suck so hard? Recurring annoying issues from a little pootle tonight are: rev limiter cutting in at 5000rpm.... w h y???? (possible fooked dizzy?) the whole front end floppier than Graham Norton in the All-Female Swedish Volleyball team's shower room... don't think this front end bush renewal can wait until the summer... :( Answers on a postcard! By a postcard, I mean "right here on the forum" Thanks :D
ProdigalSon 1 Posted March 3, 2008 Why does my burgundy suck so hard? Does it have a "Dyson" badge anywhere? You might want to remove that... Seriously though, you have all the bits, no? You/we should work out when to do that. Away from the 16th March to 3rd April though, sorry :(
boost monkey 0 Posted March 3, 2008 I don't want to have to pull it apart later on though as I know there's tons more stuff to do in the bay. I should make a shotlist of urgents and see if I have the funds for them...
boost monkey 0 Posted March 7, 2008 #It's like Candaaayyy.....owwwwwhhhh# More parts ordered today, basically a whole PAS rebuild kit, ARB to subframe bushes and a gearbox mount. Just gotta get my bolt order on with the VAG and then it's all go. Oh, and source a new cross member!

boost monkey 0 Posted March 7, 2008 welll.... this is the thing. What is ok on a corrado? It runs! Might be a few degrees out but I don't get pinking or det..... I'm wondering whether it has the wrong rotor arm on it, so might do a ignition system renewal and see if that cures it.
