Zeal 0 Posted May 14, 2008 probably the wrong time of year to look into this, anyway... i bought these seats off the forum. when i was installing them i noticed they had what looks like heater elements underneath, i know a lot of corrado seats are heated, but i'm not sure what year car my seats come from etc.. at the time when i bought them somebody said their from a golf rally, but the seller told me different. could somebody with real knowlage help me out pleas? maybe i'l plug my heater matrix back in sometime this year too!

too hot 0 Posted May 14, 2008 Yeah mine have the wiring for the electric tilt, height, two plugs at the switches and an additional one under the seat base for the heated pads.
dinkus 10 Posted May 14, 2008 No can tell from looking at that pic. If you roll it on it's back have a look for the sockets underneath. If they're pukka Corrado Recaros, they'll have 4-way electric adjustment. This has a basic 2-pin plug underneath. If they're heated as well, there will be a second, 4-pin plug underneath for the heater elements. No plug, no heat. :) Bear in mind you'll also need the loom, hideously expensive relays and switches to power them...
KADVR6 0 Posted May 14, 2008 if you need the switches for the seats?? i have some brand new ones you can purchase.
Zeal 0 Posted May 14, 2008 thanks, don't be jealous, my engine sounds like it's about to fall apart, and i have no spare money to fix it, so i havn't hardly used them yet. i guess it's probably not worth looking for the plugs but i'll have quick look anyway. i don't like the sound of hideously expensive, maybe a good thing their not electric. i knew somebody would know just by looking at them. 8)
Zeal 0 Posted May 14, 2008 just had a look underneath the seats, and firstly i found £3.01p :) and as dinkus said "no plug no heat" their is a position for two plugs tho, they must have been thinking ahead. did noticed a sticker reading corrado. does that make them the right seats for the age of the car? 91 H reg my switches are ok i think, maybe need some contact cleaner, cheers for the offer anyway. dinkus 10 Posted May 14, 2008 The seat will have part numbers starting with 535 if it's Corrado seats (or indeed any Corrado-specific parts)
KipVR 1 Posted May 14, 2008 I've got some heated black leather seats, I'll swap them for yours!!!!!
tonedef 9 Posted May 18, 2008 They look the same as mine ( except the colour of course  ) and mine aren't heated, only electrically adjustable.
Walesy 0 Posted May 18, 2008 I wouldnt say they're corrado seats tbh, allthough they do look awesome! 8)
dinkus 10 Posted May 19, 2008 I wouldnt say they're corrado seats tbh, allthough they do look awesome! 8) I think they could well be, but either way they look like they've been re-trimmed.
Walesy 0 Posted May 19, 2008 The bolsters look more rounded to me, but you may be right :camp:

tonedef 9 Posted May 20, 2008 either way they look awesome 8) ...............mmmmmmm what i would give for grey leather recaros 8) They weren't cheap, I'll admit to that much! Mine are genuine Corrado ones, they both have the original stickers on the base stating the fact, also that they are from a 91 car. The seat backs do not have recaro embossed in then though so I'm thinking they were cloth ones that got retrimmed some time. Worth every penny though, at least I don't climb out with a broken back after a three hour drive now
Zeal 0 Posted May 27, 2008 just to clear this up, i had another look underneath the seat and found the 535 part number and corrado text, the seller told me they were recovered by mj interiors, they still have recaro text on them though which looks like it was printed silver at some point. the bar-code sticker under the seat has a date of 15.09.89, very early seats. two way electric adjustable non heated
