Neil VR6 0 Posted January 26, 2009 Good luck with the venture :) I think the images in the gallery on your site are huge as they take ages to download and view. Thought you'd like to know 8)
Andy665 0 Posted January 26, 2009 Best of luck with the venture - the GTechniq stuff is superb, used the glass treatment and the plastic treatment - expensive but good value for money.
Philmo 0 Posted January 26, 2009 Best of luck with the business! You deserve every success for giving it a go. BTW - did you clear the abbreviated business name with Bill Gates' copyright lawyers first?
drewiee99 0 Posted January 27, 2009 Thanks for the feedback, the pics are big, im not that computor literate so just getting anything on the blog was a mission im going to resize them and add them again. The g-techniq stuff is very good, im trying to cater for all budgets so my mark up is not huge but you get 'exceptional results at realistic prices'. Lets hope it works ive put a lot of time and effort in so far, just need the banks to play ball now as i need some capital.
KIPVW 0 Posted January 27, 2009 Hi Drew, as i said at the NEC i really hope it works out for you with this project! how about asking if this thread could be made a sticky? to help get custom from the forum? maybe then you could donate a percentage back to Andi. Just a thought but best of luck with it
Andy665 0 Posted January 27, 2009 Just to be pedantic one of the pages has "convertable", it should be "convertible"
GlosterOx 0 Posted January 27, 2009 Hi Drew, Good luck with your new venture. Being pedantic too, in the applications section "degreased" is spelt a few times as "degerased" Ian :D
Jim 2 Posted January 28, 2009 If you want some help registering a domain name or anything, or getting some web hosting sorted out, I'd be happy to advise! It's not very difficult and if you didn't want to do that, would be happy to sort something out hosted off mine - your own site with your own domain name would look even more professional! :)

Philmo 0 Posted May 20, 2009 Pretty impressive results, Drew. :notworthy: [i still think you should get an informed opinion on the use of the corporate abreviation "DOS" - as when you start getting noticed big time, and make a few quid - that's when Bill Gates' legal eagles will take an interest in you and the depth of your pocket, with painful results!] [You must be aware that "DOS" = disc operating system? ie a trademarked title, owned by MIcrosoft!]
drewiee99 0 Posted July 31, 2009 Ok just a quick up date got a new caddy van well there could not be anything else really. ill appoligise now if any one take offense at the slogen but its just a play on words. dave and graham have been on my case for a revo kit for it they never miss a oppertunity.
Toad 0 Posted July 31, 2009 Dave showed me a pic of your van with the slogan on the door. Absolutely brilliant :)
vornwend 0 Posted July 31, 2009 Like it! The mobile advertising should come in handy so to speak
Jim 2 Posted July 31, 2009 Could not believe the slogan Drew. Full credit for having the balls to drive around with something like that on your van - you must have had a few laughs already!
Supercharged 2 Posted August 1, 2009 Yeah - love the slogan! Question - what did you use on those wheels Drew? I need to give all mine a good clean but I have a load of tar on them which won't seem to budge?

It's the MS part of it that is trademarked. :)
drewiee99 0 Posted August 1, 2009 The van does not seem to be working at the moment spen 10 hours today cold calling and driving around pattingham, wolverhampton, hagley, broome, averly etc been pressing the buzzer at the gates and trying to explain what detailing is i spotted a rolls phantom, tvr cerrbera, ferrari f430,porsche turbo, aston vantage, bentley flying spur, Its getting hard now and money is slowley running out. It frustraiting because most other detailers are charging more than me and some work ive seen is not that good. On the wheels i used valet pro billberry wheel cleaner, if you have tar spots one of the best products is autosmart tardis spray it on let it soak and rub with a brush or cloth. The slogen is just a bit of fun and people will remember it i hope. I know a famileey of indaian buikders and there slogen was 'youve used the cowboys now try the indians' brilliant. craigowl 0 Posted August 2, 2009 Hope things improve for you. :salute: Work will be excellent I am sure. Personally, I would get rid of the naughty slogan. I would smile if I saw it, but might not take you on. IMO, some potential, reserved customers may find it off-putting. "Presentation is all" was drilled into us by professionals. No offence meant - just trying to be helpful to someone on their own daring enterprise! Walesy 0 Posted August 2, 2009 I would agree with the wise owl! as much as its a laugh, the type of client you're looking for might find it a bit 'cheap' if you know what I mean? Best of luck getting things off the ground though, starting up a business is a difficult thing to do!
mrbeige 0 Posted August 2, 2009 Starting up a business in this economic climate will be harder than normal, but if you pull through (and I'm sure you will) you will know it's a good business. I agree about the slogan. It's good, but the type of clientèle that you WILL get the business off in this economic state, may be the ones that might disprove :( Good luck all the same :salute:
Jim Bowen 1 Posted August 2, 2009 autosmart tardis spray it on let it soak and rub with a brush or cloth. can you get any of this stuff? i've been trying to get some but told you cannot buy it like every other product? btw have you tried making a leaflet, showing what you do and putting that through doors? once you get a few interested people then word of mouth should do the rest
