Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 3, 2009 A BBC spokesman said: 'As an entertainment programme, Top Gear prides itself on making silly films that don't pretend to represent real life. 'Any suggestion it deliberately misled viewers is patently ludicrous.' Quite. People should either watch TG and like it for what it is, or don't watch it. It's quite simple really. Every car forum is full of turn-coats who love the show when it features a car they like, then slag it off when it doesn't!! Sure, it's more of an entertainment show now, but I personally don't think that's a bad thing :D If people want techy car information, there's Sky, the Internet, books, DVDs, magazines and, 5th Gear if you're really desperate....with adverts every 10 minutes! Swompy 0 Posted December 6, 2009 I thought tonights TG was rather good, was all most like the old TG Loved the race at the start
Jim 2 Posted December 6, 2009 The airport vehicle race was kinda fun.. but wasn't too keen on the rest. Always hate it when they wreck a new, perfectly fine car - that little Twingo was excellent!
Supercharged 2 Posted December 6, 2009 Tuned in late but that tunnel bit was good - I bet it wasn't actually Clarkson driving though!
KADVR6 0 Posted December 6, 2009 thought tonights episode was great, and who's great idea was it to put Ross Kemp i the back of the Twingo.
Sonicriot13 0 Posted December 6, 2009 was all most like the old TG It was bit TOO much like the old Top Gear. :( They didn't actually do anything they haven't done before. That race series is just a copy of motorhome and bus racing. There was the usual power test that even Clarkson didn't care what the result was, pointless nobody plugging their latest film/book/album, the news, and that Twingo test was just a copy of the Fiesta test. Clarkson just found different ways to destroy this one. Bored now. :(
KADVR6 0 Posted December 6, 2009 dont watch it then!!

mattnorgrove 0 Posted December 6, 2009 As ludicrous as ever. Light hearted, funny, and motoring based. Don't know how you could ask any more. Yes, it's been done before, but I can't help but laugh at it. And that Audi Q7? 740 ft/lbs?!? Farkin ell...
Danny B 0 Posted December 6, 2009 how amazing was that TV screen in the Range Rover.....never seen a screen that can show a different image depending on the angle at which you are watching it at......amazing :D for a change I quite liked that episode actually
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 7, 2009 Yeah that screen was very clever and the sheer pointlessness of the Q7 and MX5 was just comedy :D Hated the Renault Twiglet, best place for it was at the bottom of the ocean

The_Dude 0 Posted December 7, 2009 Ross Kemp confused me... :confused4: that was the most random funniest thing ever!! Yeah, I think I missed the bit where he explained why he was in the boot so it confused the hell out of me for a frew minutes! Funny tho. :D As for all these naysayers saying they are repeating themselves...well it is the 13th season you know, they have done well over 100 programmes, you try coming up with something new and exciting for an hour every week. Funny how the "bored now"s keep watching it though, just like I keep seeing McDonald's cartons in the back of my mate's car, who's been on a 'diet' for the past year. "not eating this schitt any more". Yeah, right

corozin 0 Posted December 7, 2009 I see the TG team resorted to repeating thier old jokes all over again. Segment about improbable racing with BTCC drivers crashing into each other... check Segment with stupid 4x4s raced against each other.... check Segment with spoof 'serious' review of a shit car no-one's interested in... check Star in a Reasonably Priced Car now featuring monosyllibic Z-list celeb.... check I'm worried they're out of ideas. This was a programme full of repeats of old ones. The poof joke was about the only original gag in the whole hour. Part of the problem is that because TG gets strong ratings they're under pressure to produce 2x series a year and there just isn't enough material to make that many programmes. I had the programme on - sure - but I wasn't sitting watching every second with glee. I watched it in the hope that a good bit would come up and because the alternative was f**king X-factor (and I've almost worn out my copy of Forza3)

But if they're just going to do the same thing over and over again even you guys will get bored at some point. They can't carry on forever and everything has a shelf life. biggrim 0 Posted December 22, 2009 I thought Sundays was one of the best so far. Was literally rolling about the floor when DC hit Jezza in the peas with the F1 paintball gun! I was also quite impressed with the Noble M600 too. Looked much better than in all the pictures I've seen and sounded amazing. Also, not too slow round the track. Worth £200k? Not convinced but then it doesn't matter to me cause I've not got £200 to spend on a car at the moment.
Jim 2 Posted December 27, 2009 Enjoyed that 1 and a bit hour special in South America. Most Top Gear 'specials' look like a great laugh, but I had to say that I really didn't envy them in the rainforest or on that frankly appaling awful "death road". I'm sure there was some kind of setup for the bit with Clarkson passing that white landcruiser right on the edge, but either way, it was enough to make me squirm uncomfortably in my seat! Awful!!
aide 0 Posted December 27, 2009 yep actually really enjoyed that episode, had a few hammy moments but they were countered by some genuinely funny incidents cant believe that death road  truly frightening, and acting or not JC looked very worried
