Feekychucker 0 Posted December 1, 2009 This is my latest acquisition 1995 M 2.0 16V Purple I have had 2 Rado's in the past; one G reg 1.8 16V and one H reg 1.8 16V The first one got nicked :bad-words: I've regretted selling the second one ever since it left my ownership in 2000 I picked this one up about 3 weeks ago for £500 notes, and to be honest I'm really pleased with her. There are a few marks on her here and there and I think a full resrpay is probably the best way to attack this. I've had a quote for doing both the bumpers and n/s/f wing and it came to £500 - I was quite surprised by this :gag: so figured that if I'm going to do it I may as well do it properly and get the whole car done. She's compeltely standard at the moment  but I have a few things planned: 1. Coilovers 2. Exhaust 3. Wheels (BBS Splits) 4. Respray (same colour) 5. HID Lights (mine are like candles in jam jars!!) 6. Lupo wiper conversion I am pleased that everything is working including the tilt and slide roof and rear spoiler (although the spoiler didn't work when I picked her up due to a detached boot popper rattling around and detaching the spoiler connector) and well chuffed to be back in the Rado fold after nearly 10 years. I'll keep you posted with any updates and will hopefully have something that looks half respectable for the show season.

Feekychucker 0 Posted December 1, 2009 Its got 152K on the clock - but has done well considering the mileage. It has a fully black interior that is pretty much untouched, even the drivers bolster is in one piece!

Feekychucker 0 Posted December 4, 2009 Ok I've got a few more pictures of my new pride and joy (in the making) Views and opinons wlecome - you will see from the photo's that she needs painting and I've just had a quote for a full respray for £1,000 which I didn't think was too bad - what do you think? The interior is pretty clean and even the drivers seat has escaped any tears! It's going to take me a while to get it fully sorted but I think a set of Lenso BSX with black centres, and a set of colivers will look pretty sweet. I'm having some colour coding doen with the respray too - door handles, washer jets and removing the bump strips.
staffs_til_i_die 0 Posted December 5, 2009 Those wheels are the standard 2.0 16v ones I think. I had the same ones on my valver. They didn't stay on long :) They actually look very similar to the wheels off the old Freelander. I don't recommend off-roading in a C though (or a Freelander for that matter)... Theres a place in Fenny Stratford called Chalky Whites, ask for Tony he did some work on Novastrikes' VR think he did o/s door, rear quarter and blended it all in for around £230ish, that included repairing the door i think as someone tried to break in and bent the door handle section out of place. He did a really good job too, one of my other mates gets all the work done for his Escort GTi there too...(yes i know its an Escort...) but ive never been there myself Im in Milton Keynes too btw, glad to see there's another local one :D

I've decided to hold fire on the re spray as I want to take it to Lone Pine Garage in Warrington (just the other side of Olney) the guy there (Mike) is awesome with a spray gun. He does work for Aston Works Service in Newport. It's going to cost me more but I figured if I'm going to get it done I may as well do it properly. These are my new wheels -BBS RXII "15 ET45 They need refurbing so I've broken them down: I'm going to polish the rims myself and get the centres powder coated black - what do you think? I'm going to run 20mm spacers up front and 30mm at the rear - the ET is quite high and they're only 6J Anyone know a decent powder coater in MK????
