Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 24, 2010 :D I use softer springs on my cheapy KWs, so that's probably why the wheels go for a little excursion in the arches  I have to say Mr Ben of the Big variety, yours looks best so far :D Looking forward to seeing how well the mighty OSV wears it's new boots! dukest 0 Posted September 24, 2010 did anyone else weigh theirs apart from Kev? did he just get the heavy set?! :)
OSV 0 Posted September 24, 2010 18.5kg with Dunlop SP9000 205/40ZR17
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 26, 2010 If anything, the ET30 wheels will be heavier  Think mine were 19.3Kg with 215/40 Kumhos. Not sure my scales are any good though because moving them around the floor gave different readings. Need proper ceiling mounted fish weighing scales. Anyway, took some more pics of mine last weekend with the camber tucked in more and it looks a fair bit better now, imo :D

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 27, 2010 Loving the exhaust tip kev. Cheers! It's good for educating tailgaters that engine power is not proportional to exhaust size
matty.vrt 0 Posted September 27, 2010 your rite there i once got my ass handed to me in a standard vr by a vauxhall nover with a canoe on the roof it was definatly something turbo'd
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 27, 2010 Calibra Turbo lump no doubt, or highly tuned XE on T bodies..... in an 800 or so KG car. A standard 1280ish KG VR6 stands no chance!
Ben-B 0 Posted September 28, 2010 your rite there i once got my ass handed to me in a standard vr by a vauxhall nover with a canoe on the roof it was definatly something turbo'd Will most likely be a C20LET, from a Cav/Calibra Turbo. The fastest FWD 1/4 mile in the UK (or possibly the world) was Specky's (Vauxhall) Tigra which has a highly tuned C20LET

Pat_McCrotch 0 Posted September 28, 2010 Is it too late to get a set at the special price? :norty:
big ben 10 Posted September 29, 2010 at the price we paid i would of thought so, but james might do you a deal. give him a ring if i was you
Ben-B 0 Posted September 29, 2010 Like other Ben said, it's unlikely you'll get a match on the group buy price... but James did appreciate how smoothly things went with this forum, so mention you're from here and I'm sure he'll give you some kind of discount, even if only a small one
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 29, 2010 Depends if they'll do them in 5 x 112 aswell....
Pat_McCrotch 0 Posted September 29, 2010 I think they are drilled to requirements? Shame yours aren't 5/112 Kev as I could've had them in 6 months when you buy another set
Pat_McCrotch 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Well they'll do them for me but at £800 I think I'll probably think of other ideas :(
panderoo 0 Posted October 1, 2010 has anyone come up with a solution to the centre caps for the Compomotives yet.. ? as flush fitting centres would make them look soooo much better

Anyway, took some more pics of mine last weekend with the camber tucked in more and it looks a fair bit better now, imo :D just looking at the rears, do you get any scrubbing when the suspension compresses - my tt comps seems to have the same amount of clearnace from the wheel arch and i'm loathe to roll the arches or cut them back. I'll probably get a more rounded shoulder on the new tyres as Zak has suggested. Look very 8), btw.
big ben 10 Posted October 1, 2010 has anyone come up with a solution to the centre caps for the Compomotives yet.. ? as flush fitting centres would make them look soooo much better not yet, but the hubs stick out at the back so flush is out of the question :( need a borbet A type flat cap fitted in the middle :norty:
panderoo 0 Posted October 1, 2010 Hmm not sure the hub will stick out on mine as there not from the MO group buy and the wheel centre looks really deep. the quest continues
