16x10 on Corrado

Hi Guys,

 

A friend of mine has put his storm up for sale and since selling my mk2, Im thinking I should buy it.

 

I have seen some wheels that I really like but they are 16x10.

 

Will these fit a corrado, will the arches need much work?

 

Also any pics would be appreciated very much.

might be able to fit them on the back with a load of arch work, but cant see them ever going on the front..

Depends.... Coullstar's has reworked arches, widened with more metal and they look great 8)

Yeah sorry rears are 16x10 and fronts are 16x8

There not extra metal in mine, just cut and rollled out. I had some 9in wheels on the rear and the edge of the rim still poked out a little. 10's would not only look stupid I reckon it would ruin the drive.

Just leave it mate, not worth it, you'll end up with gay looking arches and too much poke and the car will look like a proper fat maccyd's yank from behind (no offence yanks).

 

9s are the way foward. You could do 10s if you get the offsets dead on but i couldn't help you there and even then it'll look realy overweight and drive crap.

 

For a 10J, id run a 225/40 i guess. Basically what im trying to say is, for the hassle you will go through its not worth it. :lol:

 

For a 'wide' look id run 8-9's up front with et 15-25ish, out back go with 9's and et 10-20. You want an et about10mm lower for the back unless u want the front wheels to poke more. Also, depends on the wheel's design as dished wheels dont tend to clear brakes too well lol.

I could have fitted 10" on the rear of my old raddo,it was spaced out to sit past the arches and had loads of inner gap between shocker and wheel,so would have fitted no problem.
