We know what you drive!!! What do you do???

Recommended Posts

Well, I just graduated from college and am currently substitute teaching in the area that I grew up in. I really get along well with kids and it is great feeling to help someone learn something new that they did not understand. But since substituting does not have health or dental insurance I deliver pizza on the weekends to make some extra pocket change and health and dental come out of my paycheck. If I don't have a FT contract teaching positon by September I am moving to West Palm Beach Florida and am going to try my luck there. I also dabble in making custom stuff for Corrado's see my signature. So this is how I get $ do fix the Raddo, and have a little spending cash on the side.

Other than that I play guitar, listen to music alot, and work on ideas for the Corrado.

What do you guys do? Do you like it??

I'm unemployed and have been since just before Christmas.

Looking at getting back into IT, but hating London more and more, so moving 150 miles north and moving in with the gf.

My "$" to fix the raddo currently don't exist - hence why I'm v. skint and car kinda neglected at the mo :(

I run a lanscape company on top of going to auto school. Plan on going through the BMW step program and have plans of doing the auto racing portion of BMW. I install and customize audio systems for some extra loot and work on friends cars. Besides that i am big into music, I played semi-pro hockey last fall into winter, and i snowboard whenever humanly possible.

I'm a Primary Scool Teacher in Canterbury, currently teaching year 4 (8-9 yr olds) + year 6 Science. Love working with the kids, and the summer holidays  , but the paperwork is an absolute bugger. Worth it though, 'cos every day is different.

i am a 'website designer' although that's not the title i would have given myself. more like 'web developer'. i work for CAA Mid-Western Ontario.. CAA is the Canadian Automobile Association. http://www.caamwo.on.ca

their website is completely hideous and i hope to redo it as soon as possible..if i'm still here. i tend to move around from job to job a lot which is bad since i'm trying to save money to start a business.. a shop and space to rent to related trades and for storage..not to mention the money needed to keep a corrado tip top.

..i like computers but sitting in a box all day bustin my chops for someone else isn't my scene. always looking for something new!

I work as an Aerospace Engineer in Belfast. Not nearly as glamarous as it sounds, and we are going through the third set of redundancies since last year :x

Perhaps we should be asking a different question.

'Who has a job and hates it???'

Me Me Me Me Me Me Me!!!!!!!!!!

I do feel lucky to have a job at the moment tho.....

You could say I'm a dissalusioned ex-student, who desperately wants back the student life........ with money......without exams....... :D :D :thumb right:

I'm a Network Support Engineer working for Marconi. Voice/Telecomms/IP/SDH/ATM/Photonics you name it, we support it! Job is pooh, but the people I work with are sound and the money is OK! If the company survives that is...

It seems most of us are techies then because I'm an IT Consultant too! My main area of expertise is Networking and comms. I'm Cisco and Meridian PBX certified, currently reading Cisco PIX and internet security as Firewalls are the biggest growing IT sector at the moment. You'd do well to get into Security 8)

Unfortunately I'm not working in that field at the moment but I do have a contract with a huge insurance company as a project/planning analyst, which is funding the Corrado and other hobbies, so can't complain. Hopefully the war will dust over quickly and then I'll get back into the mainstream again once the economy recovers.

Hobbies include Golf, domestic Hi-Fi, Radio controlled cars, mountain cycling and of course tweaking the Corrado!

Cheers

Kev

Hehe... kev is speaking my language.

I am currently on a CCNA course which was split up and spread over two years of twice weekly night school.. its driving me INSANE and I wish I had just gone for a fast track or similar style of course. Thankfully we are in the middle of Semester 4 so by Summer it should be all out of the way.

Cisco certainly seems to be the field to get into ... a license to print money, if the consultants that come and visit us are anything to go by :)
