coullstar 0 Posted February 6, 2011 Ah, early Mk3 Gti wheels. The wheels you at the moment are nicer IMO.

Swompy 0 Posted February 6, 2011 Ya im defo keeping the BBS's either way Got these to try somthing different and try a idea out and at £50 for them with tyres you cant complain
OSV 0 Posted February 6, 2011 I had thought it was these but Swompy says they are 16" which wrong footed me as i've only seen them in 15". Might be a rare rim in 16"
Jim 2 Posted February 6, 2011 In my humble opinion, I don't think they'll work on a Corrado. I think they look a bit too dated. Obviously be nice to be proven wrong though Jake and as you say for £50, even if you end up using em as winter wheels, it's a no brainer!
Swompy 0 Posted February 6, 2011 Sorry did I say 16's was a miss type my bad :( Ya if they dont look good can all ways sell them on or use them for winter use. Will get them cleaned up first then try them on and see what people think

pumbaa 0 Posted February 7, 2011 MK2 Jetta alloys right? I used to have them on my old mk2 golf.
Swompy 0 Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) Well I've just gotten back from DG and the engine is F.U.B.A.R :( Has low compression on 3 cylinders. Graham stuck a camera down the spark plug hole and could see loads of scoring in all of the cylinders :( So have been driving the conly V3 powered corrado hahahahaha But there is light at the end of the tunnle. The ball has started rolling for a 24v 4motion conversion :D So watch this space Edited February 7, 2011 by Swompy
coullstar 0 Posted February 7, 2011 No way, was it using / blowing oil? Which 3cyl?
wazza 0 Posted February 7, 2011 and I thought I was special having the first ever V4 corrado before Graham worked his magic on it!
Swompy 0 Posted February 7, 2011 Nope there was no sign of any problems and only the compression test reviled the truth :( Cant remember which ones it was tho I think it was 1, 3 and 4 but not 100% on that one HAha ya V3 power all the way hahahaha
coullstar 0 Posted February 7, 2011 What were the plugs like? Surely if the compression was shot due to bore scoring then oil should be passing into the combustion chamber and you would get oiled plugs or blue smoke from the exhaust or am I missing something. mic_VR 3 Posted February 7, 2011 Gutted for you mate, but on the bright side you'll love a 24v conversion. You're more than welcome to have a spin in mine if you want to try before you buy etc! And I can testify that DG will do a spanking install. Surprised you didn't spot that it was running mainly on 3 cylinders as soon as you got it, must have been running like an absolute dog.
