Mk4 Golf rear callipers Full Braided brake line kit (complete flush and re-fill on fluid) New top mounts New track rods New lower arms Sourced a new Wing Sourced a new bumper, (Big thanks to Twin45 for both) A lot of wire tidying New ball joints New drop links Still more on the list but that's where we are so far. Few pics below taken over the last week or 2. All work done by OBD-Works, as always a fantastic service. Highly recommended check http://www.obd-works.co.uk Cant Decide on the 90mm spliter. Will probably be for sale soon. Next up is the TT wiper conversion. Possible clutch and flywheel upgrade, get it all sat correctly and then i have to decide what im doing about the body. Hope your all well. Peace. Edited April 30, 2013 by EJ Taylor
EJ Taylor 22 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) New Wing/ Bumper sourced and fitted. Wiper conversion and everything else now complete. Lowered roughly another 35mm, This is how she is currently sat. All arches rolled flat and pulled out a tiny amount to ensure no tire to arch contact. To all who haven't, I cannot justify what a difference the poly kit made. Handles incredible and just the general solid feel of the car is so reassuring. Together with the majority sub-frame replacement, the KW V2's and the braided brake lines/calliper upgrade (and disks pads etc), it has created a serious cornering machine. Currently confirming last few bits the paint man, Fingers crossed my next update will be baring a fresh coat! Peace Edited June 10, 2013 by EJ Taylor
EJ Taylor 22 Posted June 17, 2013 This arrived at the shop saturday. ( Pipercross Viper ) Fitted Saturday Eve... Seriously amazed at the difference running a DECENT Carbon fiber intake with a cold air feed has made, Changed the "ZORST" tone, Engine notes, Overall power delivery. used to die off around 5 and a half k, Now Power keeps on coming right to 6 - onwards, Really impressed with the results. I know its £200 for an induction kit, but I could not recommend it enough. (also helps getting it all at trade price) PLEASE EXCUSE the state of my bay at the moment!!!!! :(
EJ Taylor 22 Posted July 5, 2013 So after searching and searching the web for a supercharger kit, I gave up, so just went for it, Ordered a Vf-engineering Vortech stage 2 supercharger kit from the states, came to $4600 to my doorstep, should be here in about 5-6 weeks, WATCH THIS SPACE! Went for the polished finish! Will also be taking out the engine and tucking/cleaning/spraying the bay up. This also means my BRAND NEW, Pipercross viper induction kit will be up for grabs soon, so if anyone wants to call first dibs let me know. With all that's been done im expecting to hit over the 300bhp mark, time shall tell. I AM VERY EXCITE! ---------- Post added at 10:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:50 AM ---------- Just one from Wednesdays Dub Club Oxford meet,

Do those kits just 'bolt straight on' then? How many English monies is that ??
Jim 2 Posted July 5, 2013 Very nice :) Hope you bring this along to another Midlands / Warwickshire meet in the future - would love to have a look around it!
EJ Taylor 22 Posted July 5, 2013 I'd be interested in your Induction kit. :thumbleft: Ill make sure you have first dibs man, ill let you know a figure when she comes up for sale, probably just be what i paid for it (trade) so like £150 but ill give your a definite price when the charger arrives Lucky b^stard!! Do those kits just 'bolt straight on' then? How many English monies is that ?? Well, apparently, the price reflects how much work and design goes into it to make sure it fits perfect, kit includes a stupid amount of parts, from bigger injectors, to stage 2 ECU Chip, to new oil circuit, it looks the nuts, and should be for the price. est BHP 280 onwards, on a standard OBD1. let alone my engine. Works out at around £3000 GBP, and when u consider i have seen people buy second hand superchargers, just the charger and the brackets, for the £2k mark, its not bad at all. Very nice :) Hope you bring this along to another Midlands / Warwickshire meet in the future - would love to have a look around it! Yes i sure will, we need to make Midlands meets a more common thing, as i am aware of quite a few rados in the area, just getting a good location and a date everyone can make. Should be coming to the national day, but wont have the charger by then.
sexybourbon 0 Posted July 5, 2013 Would live to supercharge but the fuel scares me , love the look of this rado its really nice hope the conversion goes sweet , wen its done get some vids up
Jim 2 Posted July 5, 2013 Midlands meets have been happening every month, like clockwork - attendance hasn't exactly been stellar though!
clumpy1 11 Posted July 5, 2013 Good to see someone taking the "bull by the horn's". Also good to see it looking sweet again after your prang mate you obviously have been bitten big time by the corrado bug :salute: I will be having a good look at this on national day. Are they porsche wheel's you have on it in pic's? What one's? Jeez with all these charged/turboe'd vr6's that are coming out the woodwork just now or work in progress I may have to to think about the T3 on the R32 to keep up with you kid's.;)

Midlands meets have been happening every month, like clockwork - attendance hasn't exactly been stellar though! Now mine is back ill try and make a few if there not a million miles away Good to see someone taking the "bull by the horn's". They are porsche wheels yes, Porsche cups to be precise, staggered fitment 9's on the rear et70 and 7's on the front et40, Sat on 40mm spacer/adaptors all round. Please be aware, the wing is still grey on one side though, and overall body work is not the greatest, wanted it to be perfect for nationals day, but once again, unforeseen corrado issues have prioritised
EJ Taylor 22 Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) Since i brought the car almost 2 and a half years back i have been waiting for the day i could respray her. We finally got there! Over the moon with it, and had so many long awaited bits touched up as well. NEST UP, Stage 2 Competition Clutch, Competition Clutch Flywheel, then take out the engine, fit it all, and the supercharger kit (arriving tomorrow)then spray the bay, tuck all the loom, put the engine back in then off to longlife for a full custom manifold and zorst system.... So thats, Engine rebuilt, body resprayed, subframe replaced, 99% of the rest of the car replaced and upgraded, so NEXT up i shall start thinking about interior.... got some serious plans!!!!! PEACE :D Edited August 6, 2013 by EJ Taylor
Jim 2 Posted August 6, 2013 Very nice indeed! Did you manage to get it done for a good price? Was it a glass out respray?
EJ Taylor 22 Posted August 6, 2013 was £1700 including colour code and fit the reiger grill, smooth the recess and delete all wholes, Inside door shuts, treat all rust areas (inside door shuts) I said to the guy there is £300 in it on top if he gets it bang on and he did. didnt take the glass out as its not easy on the rado, but took the majority of the panels (bonnet, bumper, wings etc) off and all the rubbers, roof strips and similar. He did a fantastic job and turned it round in 4 days. What happens when you go to a through and through VW enthusiast, he was as excited as me about painting it. haha
